Newegg news on Soyo Rebate

Yes! I received both rebates in the mail today. Thanks to Newegg and Soyo for coming through... although a few weeks late.

I faxed and emailed to the suggested places on 2/9; all three soyo checks (3 x $20.00) arrived today, the 18th. Prior to the fax and email, I wasn't even showing up on the rebate website. I must confess, my soyo rebates were items from TD, so all the more amazed the checks came.

I'm a little pissed. I faxed in my paperwork last week. Both rebates changed to being sent on the website. However, I only received the one $40 rebate today. I hope the $35 rebate is just stuck in the mail or something...Goddam Soyo sucks.

I'm in the same boat. My rebate from last March has been dropped from the system (convenient). TD say that they are 'looking into the situation' . I got an email to contact luis. Well did that and the frickin email bounced. This is unbelievable.

I finally got my 2nd rebate. I'm glad this whole thing is over for me. I'm never buying any Soyo product again.

Many thanks for Newegg for their excellent support and handling of the situation. I had given up and would still be out $75 if it weren't for their help in pushing Soyo to honor their rebates.

Now, as long as the checks from Soyo don't bounce, (not holding my breath) I'm all set!

Soyo has to be the biggest joke in the rebate industry. I faxed, I emailed I havent seen a thing. And the so called help from newegg has not got me a thing either.

I bought one Soyo from Newegg and one from Zipzoomfly, already got phone call from Newegg customer service, and got the check from Soyo in one week. Still haven't heard anything from Zipzoomfly yet. I called them and emailed them twice. Zipzoomfly's customer service is nice, but not too much they can do. My $130 rebate money is still pending.....

I faxed SOYO a week ago and got no response. Emailed yesterday and got a reply that a customer service rep will get back to me. It looks like you need to be careful how and what you email them: "Please make sure to provide your information including reference number(if applicable), first name, last name, mailing address, store name, product model number, and purchase date as registered on the rebate form. Any emails that do not meet the above requirements will not receive a reply." And: "For security reason, please DO NOT include any attachment unless you are requested to do so."

Dont be suprised if you never hear from this company again, This company is the Biggest scam in the book, They lose about 90 percent of their mail from the US post office who delivers on avg. of 99.6 percent of their mail. Hmmm, Maybe it got lost in the mail. Give me a break! SCAM SCAM SCAM! And the hell if Im going to pay more money on a long distance call or registered mail. Allready did the fax thing and that did nothing, I have a feeling the posts stating it worked were planted.

I can honestly say I DID receive my rebates. Soyo still sucks a$$ and I will never buy anything from them again though. Newegg kicks butt!!

How did you end up getting them? Fax, email, Did you have to call or register mail it? Im not wasting another dime on Soyo.

I purchased a Soyo SY-P4I865PE Dragon v1.0 motherboard on at Newegg.com 8/30/04 and sent in the TWO rebates that were being offered at Newegg.com for $40 and $35 on 9/5/04. I didn't receive anything and gave up until Newegg sent me an e-mail about it.

Using the info provided in these forums, I got the fax number and faxed in my information (the same information that Newegg said I should mail in). I didn't want to bother with the mail so I just decided to fax even though Newegg told me not to. Within about 2 weeks (IIRC) I got one check ($40) with the 2nd check ($35) following about 1.5 weeks later. Both are deposited and cleared. Hope you have some luck. Newegg rocks. Soyo still sucks!

Received a reply from customer service today. "We would like to thank you again for your inquiry and patience: Your rebate check will be mail. Please let us know if you do notreceive the rebate checks within 2-3 weeks." I emailed soyo@verifyrebate.com. Will post again if I actually receive the rebates. If you email SOYO be sure to send the information they require. See my previous post 5 places up. Good luck to everyone.

I did the fax thing about 16 days ago, Maybe there is still hope I will get it that way. Did yours ever show up on the verifyrebate site?

Yes. Mine showed up on the site within a few days of my faxing the information in.

I had 3 approved rebates on the verifyrebate site. Then one day I only had two listed. Fax and email did not change my listing on the site, but I got a positive reply to the email. Sounds like time to send an email inquiry if you did not get a response to your fax after 16 days. Maybe if we are persistant enough they will fulfill their legal obligation and pay the rebates we submitted. I lost some money when Cyberrebate went bankrupt and filed on the lawsuit. Next month they are paying like 8 cents on the dollar, but it still beats getting nothing. SOYO legally owes us money for these rebates and should pay us.

NewEgg knows this. 1&1 knows this (3 year free deal). That is why both companies do very well and also why Soyo will eventually die off.

Well, If that is the case with it showing up on their website it appears the fax option is now dead because even after faxing nothing has showed up on their website, Im tired of dealing with this BS. I will see if newegg comes through for me. I am suppose to hear from Soyo by email by today, Im doubting it will happen and I will email newegg again tomorrow about it.

After flooding them with emails in Jan and Feb for a rebate sent in May, Luis finally sent me an email in mid Feb saying my check was in the mail. I waited over two weeks and sent another inquiry and just got this reply. If this isnt the biggest joke Ive ever dealt with. Ive been telling everyone I know to avoid Soyo rebates, no matter how tempting they look. I just hope they dont go under before finally getting my rebate sorted out. Or maybe its time to kiss it goodbye.

It's funny but, now when I'm searching for new motherboards to purchase I look at the soyo listing with scorn and just move on past.

They have shyt on their own reputation and will pay the price.

I just received an e-mail from Newegg telling me to resend my information to Soyo. In addition to the original mailing, I've faxed it and sent it to the special processing address. I was told that it was ok if I didn't have a copy of the barcode, but not I'm not so sure. Does anyone have a scan of the Dragon motherboard barcode they could post or e-mail to me?

verifyrebate.com shows my check (gift) sent, how long before i can expect delivery?

(I mailed my information to them, they ended up honoring it... it seems)

I hope newegg doesnt give me that response, Why should I spend another dime sending my stuff in I know soyo is going to throw away, I want this resolved through newegg if anything is going to be done.
