I'm in the same situation as BS. Initial e-mail was helpful, then nothing. Sent another e-mail and it was just ignored. Not even a courtesy acknowledgment e-mail that they'll look into it. I sent another e-mail yesterday let's see if it bears fruit. Anyhow, since there is much competition out there, I've just simply decided to stop shopping at newegg. They were much better off not getting involved. Then at least I wouldn't hold them to a higher standard.

Yea, I really dont understand why Newegg even said anything becasue they sure didnt do a dam thing for me in all this other then to tick me off even more. I wrote them 5 emails or more with only 2 responses and guess what they didnt help me with a thing in all of it, Other then they stand behind their customers, Yea right!

If you havnt recieved your overdue rebate, email that address with your [ Name, Contact info, Store purchased from, Invoice, Rebate#, and Rebate Tracking#(if aplicable) ].

And once i have a big enough chunk of valid contacts, I could then ask Soyo to approve the list of rebates on the contact list. or i can have a family member with public relations contacts to a major news publisher submit an article about 'Soyos rebate fraud, consumer scam' or whatever.

Email in this format..

I resubmitted multiple times, both mail and fax, both rebates at the same time. I finally used delivery confirmation because Soyo kept telling me they hadn't received my submissions.

Hmm,
Odd, Sounds like a way not to fully pay you since mine both came in the same envolpe, And I didnt buy into the Delivery Confirmation thing since I know 99.9 percent of US mail gets to where its going. Ive seen even Delivery Confirmation has not got people their rebates even though they had the confirm that they received it. All I can say is what a mess this is for you to get your money back, Im glad Im out of the loop on this one and paid in full. And now cleared as well. The fax resubmit was a waste of a long distance phone call, My guess is it went right in the garbage once it was received because the fax number was their corp. fax.

Thats why im pritty sure soyo intends to never fully pay some people, if at all. So please email your information to the Addy i set up 4 posts above. right now only a hand full of poeple have sent there info to that email addy, so i need many more replys.

Even disregaurding my own situation were i may beable to help u guys out(including myself) with a large enough amound of proff that soyo is scamming... even just having a large enough amount of contacts in one list for this situation would most likely be benificial no matter what, becuase it could be used in reference in more then one sercomstance against the soyo company, were ever the opertunity may arrise. i could just forward the list. or provie the proper athoritys with the Email addys sign in info. etc.

you see what i mean, it may not be usefull at all at the moment. but it would seem to me more benifical then not.

Oh, bad news. After checking verifyrebate.com, I see that my $40 is now not showing up. It was listed before...

So now I have the $35 in hand and the $40 has disappeared. This is where delivery confirmation comes in handy...at least I know they received the submissions...

I finally got both rebates, the first came from soyo for the 40 dollars after 6 months, then I resubmitted to the upland address, I called newegg every week on the order line and told them I still wanted my rebate, I sent the e-mail they requested to newegg and it bounced back to me. Then the upland soyo sent me an e-mail to resubmitt registered mail, I called newegg and told them I didn't have te resubmit in registered mail and I was going to take them and soyo to court, they credited my credit card the 35 dollars. Keep at them, would I ever buy anything from soyo again, NO, would I ever trust business with newegg on a rebate again, NO, do I shop elsewhere for most of my computer needs now after previously using newegg mostly, yes, and I get cheaper prices most of the time.

I had three rebates listed and two disappeared. The third one says paid but I did not receive a check. Customer service at Tigerdirect offered to help with the SOYO items I bought from them after I emailed them a couple times. I sent them the information about my purchases a couple days ago and have not got a reply yet, but if any of you bought SOYO rebate items from TD it might be worth a try to contact their customer service and ask for some assistance.

Sorry to hear your still dealing with the Soyo mess, Disappeared isnt good. Im really amazed I got both of mine as people here are still running in to trouble. The registered mail might be nice for telling YOU that they got it but it really doesnt do anything for you unless your going to take them to court for $40 which would cost you more than the $40. I didnt send it registered mail due to the fact that I wasted enough time on it and I wasnt going to lose anymore money over it. I am not sure what made mine go though as I bothered many to get this thing going. I just resubmitted to the upland address reguar mail and talked to the Soyo Rep here and I got it about one month after resubmission.
Just checked again on mine that I did get and yes one of the ones I did get paid for disappeared as well.

The latest from Soyo (luisb):

******
According to our record, both rebate check # 61543 $40.00 and check # 61542
$35.00 were mailed on 4/20/05. However, check # 61543 $40.00 returned to us
on 5/9/05 and we have re-mail on 5/10/05.

Please let us know if you still do not receive it within 2 weeks. Thanks!

Returned? I have no idea why. It should be here next week...we'll see. Of course, this still doesn't explain why it dropped off verifyrebate.com.

Well, the newegg customer service "mystique" is now gone, and they're just another company (at least to me). I've sent them 3 additional e-mails asking for a current status on the rebates. Not a demand, not a you suck (well, my last e-mail was a you suck), but just basic e-mails requesting a status update. Surprisingly they were all ignored. Unlike fastcuda, I will shop elsewhere, since I find lower prices elsewhere MOST of the time. I was chose newegg over the competition becasue of their supposed excellent customer service.

whatever.

I agree, Neweggs customer suport on the Soyo rebates was just about as bad as trying to contact Soyo themselves. I dont even know why Newegg sent out an email informing its customers it was behind them 100 percent. Just made them look even worst when they dont respond to most emails on the issues. Mastas, Did you ever resubmit to theupland address and try to contact the soyo rep here? I believe these are the 2 things that got me my rebates.

I actually did call right after I posted that message. My Zipzoomfly rebates have already been sent out (we'll see). They said they're about to process 1/2 Newegg rebates (hook, line..)...but no info on rebate 2/2 but if I resubmit it, it will be taken care of right away (sinker..).

The other rebate ($40) arrived. Could the long ordeal (since September) be over? We'll see what happens when I deposit them...

Good luck all!

It's a good feeling. When my auction is done, it will be a great feeling

In the time it took to get everything straightened out I decided to go another direction with my home arcade machine...a cheaper direction. So out goes the mobo!

Good luck all...

Not Newegg, but definitely SOYO.

I went back to Tiger Direct last week and told them I hadn't received my rebate from my Soyo Ultra Dragon and ATX minicase combo. Guy looked up the pruchase and associated rebates. The next day, he left voicemail saying $100 was credited to my credit card. Seemed easy enough. It's kinda like finding money after you've written it off for 7 months.

If you got screwed by SOYO/Tiger, be sure to call and complain. Talk to managers and you'll get your money. If you bought at the store, make them look it up while you wait. I figured this would be more painful than it was.

I guess a little bit of patience and some hope can work.

Good luck people,
EH

Makes you wonder if the court decision regarding the CompUsa class action lawsuit has suddenly given merchants a sense of responsibility.
