I contacted Newegg again a couple months ago and happily, the $40 rebate showed up 2 days later. I waited for the $35 rebate but it didn't come. I contacted Newegg again but nothing. Another newegg contact and I was promised a refund. Three weeks later I again contacted Newegg as no refund came and I was again promised a refund and finally it did.
I must say, there is no other online company that would cover someone else's obligation. Strangely, I have come to expect excellent customer support from Newegg and in this case I wasn't disappointed. I would want this kind of CS from anycompany but I certainly wouldn't have expected it. I now have come to where I do expect that from NE and I sure do realize it.
