Over a week ago I did the following:

emailed eric at Newegg about the Soyo problem
emailed bluis my basic info; including pdf attachments
mailed copies of the rebate info for a resubmission to the address given by SoyoRep
faxed all the rebate info to Elizabeth
emailed the rebate materials to soyo@verifyrebate.com
emailed the rebate materials to rebate@soyousa.com

What have I gotten so far? the rebate submissions for the $75 in rebates for the KT600 board now showon the verifyrebate website. That was a week ago. What's in my hand? nada. Nothing but words. I'm still waiting, and I have every reason to remain skeptical. Show me the money!!!!!!

after a long fight, I got my rebates approved on verifiedrebate.com. Thanks GOD because I was going to give up after tried with BBB/ general Attorney/ FTC...anything that I've seen people have done...

now let see if the check will come

I preety much did all of the above just like Justus. Today in checking on verifyrebates.com... lo and behold, now both rebates are recognized and it says under status: check(gift)sent.

I don't know what it means by gift, but hope I get my checks in the next few days. I live within 50 miles of Upland address.

I emailed luis (luisb@verifyrebate.com) and my checks were mailed within 3 days. I haven't got them yet but things are looking up.

Isn't there some kind of law that they have to give you the rebate within the time stated on the rebate forms? If they do not deliver within the promised time, aren't they in violation of something? I thought there's some sort of law about that.

Not only that, but considering they've been telling everyone their rebates got lost in the mail, I'm sure they're doing borderline mail fraud there or something.

Well I used one of the specific e-mail addresses listed here to see if I could finally get a response on my rebate outstanding since July, 2004. The rebate has been listed as "approved" on verifyrtebate.com for at least 3-4 months. Now, mysteriously all of my information at verifyrebate.com has disappeared and they are claiming that my rebate was NEVER received!! I have been chceking the status of it at least once a month since last year and my records always came up. And now suddenly, they have disappeared....

What an absolute sham this company is. Like many of you I have been dealing with rebates for years. I have had problems in the past, but never on a level like this. I will never buy another product from this company (I know people say that, too, all the time, but I promise you in my case it's true).

never got mine until today, its Feb 14
thats about 15 to 16 weeks already,
if their estimate time of 16 weeks is every right

I had like 4 info on my rebates at verifyrebates.com
and then I had 2 removed to make it just 2 being approved right now..

wonder if I will ever ever get it back

Whew, what a relief - got ALL 8 of my $$$ SOYO rebates today. Thanks Luis! But, never again SOYO, and I've been cured from MIRs to a large degree, so maybe it's all for the good ;-)

I always avoided SOYO. I don't do business with scumb.
However, I applause Newegg for their effort. Newegg has my business for the last few years.

Glad I found this forum and know Im not alone. Funny how some finally get their rebates and others get dropped from the system. I applied May2004, was approved Sept 2004, started checking up with emails in Dec 2004, complaining this month, and now my approved status has been changed to no records found.

What a joke. Never buying again from Soyo.

Not only that, they will only reply to your e-mails as and when you want.
With as little follow up as possible.

I sent for my rebate on June 17-04.I was approved Oct 15.On Feb 4, I sent Soyo email asking them to send ny rebate check but I never received a reply.Now my rebate status changed to :" no record was found......".I printed out a copy when my status was approved on Oct 15.I kept record of everything for possible legal action.With many peoples on FW, I think we have a case against Soyo.

they have to honor it no matter what.

My amount is very small compared to what some have outstanding here, but its still a matter of principle with me. Ive sent 10 or so emails and never heard a word back. If a class action suit gets started, count me in.

someone post a check stub from soyo, I don't believe they are paying anybody, only planting people in these forums to keep people appeased, they still owe me my two for 75 dollars and don't reply to my e-mails anymore

Whoa! I'm $90 out of the hole.

Took the advice of several last week and faxed my information in, even though it was listed as accepted on the web site. Got the checks today.

One of these days I'd like to see some of the marketing plans behind these rebates. I wonder how much is factored in for:

- The interest gained on the money during the rebate processing period
- The number of people that give up trying
- And the people that miss the deadline.

I'll just bet the total number of rebates issued and cashed are a much smaller percentage than we all think.

Personally, I never give up on these things. I remember one that took over a year and a half. It's a game .. and a fun one at that.

Now I just need to remember to cash the checks.
