I'm getting delivery confirmation this time, that's for sure. I've already filed a complaint against Soyo at ftc.gov (look for "File a complaint" in bar at the top).

Do you really think that will make anything different with Soyo? This company is a scam if there ever was one, They will just tell you they lost it and for you to send it in yet again. You will probably pay $8 for that and not get anything else out of it other than more lost money.
At the moment I am not happy with Soyo or Newegg. Unless for some odd reason a check shows up in the mail all of a sudden. Which I highly doubt.

Yah, and my cable went out in the middle of a West Wing rerun. I don't mind not getting my rebate if an earthquate destroyed the Soyo plant and buried all its upper management. :laugh::evil:

Yep still down today as well, Probably wasted another 37 cents sending my rebate info to the upland address last week.

Here is my latest e-mail correspondance. I've e-mailed soyo 3 times now with my information about 2 weeks between each e-mail. They told me that my checks would be mailed, but I haven't seen anything yet. So this last time I e-mailed I included NewEgg in the CC line. Here is whay they said:

Dear Jarod,

Thank you for contacting Newegg.

I have forwarded your information to the agent who is now handling the Soyo rebates. We have been instructed to tell you that you should receive an email directly from Soyo within one week. If you do not receive this email, please let us know at soyocomplaints@newegg.com and there will be an immediate resolution. Again, we apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding while we get this issue resolved.

soyo@verifyrebate.com on February the 7th regarding rebates #1391 and
#1392. I mailed these rebates on September the 7th 2004 but have yet to

it is March the 21st and I still haven't seen anything in the mail, and
the rebates are showing as "approved" on the verifyrebate.com site just
like they have since November. What do I need to do to speed up this

I have an official invoice from newegg along with copies of the rebate
forms, receipts and UPC that I sent in. This is starting to become more
than a minor annoyance. I have always loved shopping at NewEgg please
don't disappoint me on this.

Newegg is obviously sending out canned messages because thats the same one I got from them although it was 2 days when I got mine instead of a week to hear from Soyo, You can try their complaints address but they dont seem to respond to that one. Believe me I am really disappointed in newegg now as well. I sent 2 emails to that address and didnt get any resolution, Because they never responded to my complaints of soyo not contacting me. This whole Soyo and now newegg thing is just one big joke.

I dont get my checks its simple.... im going right down to the court house and file the paperwork I need to take this to court, ill represent myself no problem.

I have exact records of everything, even when I mailed the rebates in I sent them signature verified. Copys of receipts, the finished rebates, upc's, copy of webpage marked "approved", all emails ive sent and recieved with the rebate company......

If I dont know what im doing the courthouse will help me if im demanding enough, and judge/court will lead me through proper proceedure in court....

Ill do whatever it takes.... thats just me

But ive also only emailed them once a nice email after 14wks with my information.... they emailed me a nice email back saying 2-3 weeks checks in the mail... if I dont get them in 2-3 I will give them one chance to get it right after that in a reasonable time, or its off 2 court we go.

I guess if your talking principle only then yes you can go to court for this but this is going to cost you more money then the rebate is worth, Either by time off work or court fee's. I guess you could go for the full amount small claims courts allows do to them making you lose work pay ect ect ect.

To follow up on my post a few people up, after waiting a week i sent an e-mail to soyocomplaints@newegg.com telling them that soyo still hadn't contacted me. I sent that e-mail yesterday and got this today (I won't believe it until the check is in my hands though)

Well, I just wrote newegg again to their complaints email in hopes they will do something for me. They have not responded to one of my emails to their complaints address. I cant believe how badly they have treated me over this in all honesty. I am still buying from them for my work but that may begin to change if something doesnt happen for me on this by them, I stated as such in my last email to them. I have ordered on avg in the last year probably a good 20 grand worth of stuff.

Newegg says they will honor the rebates if soyo doesnt then relax, give them time, they are probably fighting it out legally with soyo right now....

I got my deal at zipzoomfly, I havent emailed them, im not going to hold them responcible for it

Went around twice with resubmitting to soyo with Newegg's help, and I actually got my rebate in the mail this week. Don't give up. I purchased my mobo in November, got the rebate in March.

Yea this is what I heard many weeks ago and why I started emailing them, They at least can respond to my emails when I write them. Nothing to relax about I have got ZERO satisfaction from both newegg and soyo on this matter.

I have you beat by several months, I sent mine in the begining of sept and cant get anything out of anyone, after faxing, emailing and now resubmitting to soyo.

I got a response that checks will be mailed three weeks ago. Did not receive anything, so I emailed them today and the reply was: "Your rebate check will be mail. Please let us know if you do not receive the rebate checks within 2 weeks." I like the SOYO motherboards I purchased but this rebate hassle is making buy other brands for sure. I will post again in two weeks or sooner if I (haha) actually receive any rebate checks. It may be time to contact BBB, etc soon.

The status of my three "registered" rebates at verifyrebate.com was just updated to "approved". The fourth rebate has been identified as approved for a couple months now, so I'm not getting too excited. I'll believe it when I get the rebate checks in my grimy hands. Still, there is someone doing entries at the rebate clearinghouse, even if this is WAAY more complicated than it should be. It would have been hopeless if I had not kept copies and been persistent. But then, who's to say it's not hopeless even now??

YES!! Just got my 2 rebates. The checks are dated April 3. 2x $45.

Its about time. Kudos to newegg for all the help on the matter.
