verifyrebate.com shows my rebates have been mailed. At the same time, I had this PM from the soyo rep:

Paul,
We have no records of your rebate submission. Did you submit your rebate to this address below:
Attn : Luis
Special Care Customer Services Dept
1042 N. Mountain Ave # B 291
Upland CA 91786

Also, when did you mail out the rebate?

thx
soyorep

I've mailed my information several times to the above address (finally using delivery confirmation to prove it got there) and even faxed it once. Now we'll see if the checks actually come...

Paul

I'm still waiting for two Soyo rebates. I purchased a Soyo keyboard/mouse combo from TigerDirect back on 9/22/04. I have been told multiple times the rebates have been mailed but they haven't arrived. They did not respond to my last email. I've purchased their products before and liked them a lot but so much for customer loyalty. Until I receive my rebates, I will not buy any Soyo product (never a rebate one again, if any) and will not buy from TigerDirect, whose name is also on the rebate form.

Well,
To my suprise today my info showed up online after many attempts to re submitt many of different ways and it states my checks have been sent. Im not sure what got this going but I have been hounding newegg and I also gave the soyrep a try and low and behold Im now in the system and checks are sent. Its been a long road that I hope is coming to an end and finally getting resolved. If anyone is still trying, You may want to try the soyorep here.

From what I've heard that address is just a Mailboxes Etc type of place.

bought the MB from Newegg with 2x $45 rebates. After 10-12 weeks, I emailed verifyrebates and was told the checks would be mail in a matter of weeks. Two months later/10 days ago, after reading this thread, I emailed verifyrebates again, with a CC to soyocomplaints@newegg. Again I was told my rebates would be sent shortly by verifyrebates, and no response at all from soyocomplaints@newegg. Thankfully though, received the first $45 withing the week and the second in just over a week from the 2nd email. A bit of a wait, but seems they came through at last.

I would like to say that after a long time and alot of work my 2 rebate checks came today in the mail, I dont know exactly how it happened but I can tell you I first submitted 9/2/2004, Nothing ever showed up after more than 20 weeks, So I emailed it and received a response that it hadnt been processed yet,Wait 2 months, then Fax it in, Which I got no response from, Wait another 2 weeks or 3, Then start my attack on newegg which I feel was also fruitless because I wrote them a good 5 emails where 3 failed to get a reply and the last one over a week ago they gave it to their supervisor who what do you know I never heard from, So I dont think thats what got it going, I also resubmitted about 3 1/2 weeks ago to the upland address and Luis, That is my best guess on what made this happen and I believe the SoyoRep here may have had something to do with it as well as it seems they found me shortly after He talked to them and me resubmitting, I would say give the SoyoRep a try. And to the SoyoRep thanks for the help your the first one that was willing to help me out. After all was said and done I have to admit I go away from this with a bad taste in my mouth about newegg as well, As I really feel they should have honored the rebates after my contacting them because of all the business I do with them alone, I believe more and more of my business will now be going elsewhere due to the poor treatment I received from them on this issue. You would think $75 would be nothing to them when I am spending thousands with them and almost everyweek several orders.

I got all my money from'em. As my previous post stated, my first rebate didn't go through cause i looked at the wrong fine print and that was my fault, not soyos. Overall i'm not considering 4.5 months to be that bad. i've had much worse times from far better companies. The board didn't impress me, but it's more the fault of teh ATI chipset than the board itself. Not a bad experience, i'll probably buy from'em again.

Note - all Soyorep does is check your statues. as if i couldnt do that myself.

my 4 rebates from ZZF are still way overdue. Iv since filed complaints against Soyo, and i plan on filing more when i have the time.

but it appears that soyo plans on just never paying some ppls rebates. so in the meantime. i think a good idea would be, if your in the same situation as me.. iv setup an Email at [ SoyoComplaints@gmail.com ]. If you havnt recieved your overdue rebate, email that address with your [ Name, Contact info, Store purchased from, Invoice, Rebate#, and Rebate Tracking#(if aplicable) ].

And once i have a big enough chunk of valid contacts, I could then ask Soyo to approve the list of rebates on the contact list. or i can have a family member with public relations contacts to a major news publisher submit an article about 'Soyos rebate fraud, consumer scam' or whatever.

Email in this format..
:name
:contact info
:store, Invoice
:rebate#, tracking#

:if you wont to add notes put them at the bottom.

I got my rebate 1month late, try something like this

1st email:

I have not received my rebates its been blah blah blah....
fist name, last name, mailing address, store name, product model number, and purchase date as registered on the rebate form

-then expect an automated responce back its in the mail wait 2-3 weeks (you wont actually receive it)

2nd email:

Subject: rebates, your name, "final demand before legal action"

Unfortunately I still have not received my rebates for:
fist name, last name, mailing address, store name, product model number, and purchase date as registered on the rebate form

example of my email body:

It has been far past the 14wks of the postmark of the program (11/30/04). I as a customer have met all terms of the rebate which is an agreement between me and soyo/verifiyrebate.com. If I have not *received* my checks in the mail by the end of this month *(4/30/05)* I will file with the BBB and at the same time (without waiting for action from the BBB) I will contact my attorney to seek further legal action. At that point it will become less an issue of money and more an issue of morals since it will cost me more then I am seeking in rebates. It would be unfortunate for both partys if it got to that point and hopefully we can resolve this issue without legal action within the next couple weeks.

Thank You
my name

The Key is be nice yet make a demand, in order for you to take legal action you have to make a demand (say 2 weeks after you send the email) and if your a jerk some moron getting payed $6hr to answer emails isnt going to go out of his way to do anything, being nice is allways good if you want something from somebody, then when you get what you want you can whisper to yourself under your breath #@%$%$@%@#!!!! all you want

then email this to:

customerservice1@verifyrebate.com
soyo@verifyrebate.com
Mingchok@soyogroup.com
Ming.chok@soyogroup.com
path@soyogroup.com
info@soyola.com
info@mail.soyo.com.tw
arielb@verifyrebate.com
LouisB@verifyrebate.com
luisb@verifyrebate.com
rebate@soyousa.com
rebate@soyo.com
info@firstglobalmedia.com
lencom@earthlink.net
jroskelley@firstglobalmedia.com
and the seller of the product in my case service@ZipZoomFly.com (i didnt get mine at newegg)

worked for me (and yes I would have taken legal action it was a $160 rebate)

yea right... thy alreay have all my resubmissions fax's, emails, complaints.

as if to not already assume i would take legal action after soo long. i think it would most likely just be easyer to take legal action then waist that much time.

however if there are a lot of other ppl in the same situation as i. I could help them all out at one time.

Note - some ppl have gone the extra mile as u have stated, but there are many casess that are just ignored.

besides whats worse for a company... legal action by an individual or bad publicity?

I got one a couple weeks back. And still waiting on one from resubmission. Verifyrebate now says I have two rebates instead of the one before. Its really funny how it has a Postmark Date thats in Oct of 2004, like they make it look like they sent it out a month after they got it. What a bunch of FRAUDS. They are just trying to protec themselves here. My MOBO is almost free.

I'm getting really pissed off at soyo. I got my first check but not my second. I resubmitted with everything that Soyo told me to send. A week ago I got an email saying I needed to send a rebate form in also. I told them that I no longer had the rebate form because I sent that in already and if they could please give me another. They basically told me well then your sh*t out of luck unless you can find another rebate form somewhere. I've been waiting since October for this rebate. Better believe I will never buy another soyo product.

Believe me, I was through this same mess, It took a month and a half of hounding soyo/Newegg to finally get my rebates last week. Keep trying it will pay off at some point. I had all but given up as well but then I talked to the soyo rep here and mind you this was after resubmission to Luis that I then got my rebates, If I were in your guys shoes, I would resubmit to the Upland address Attn to Luis and also contact the soyo rep here and I believe you may just get your rebate at that point.

BS - i purchased soyo bourds from both Newegg, and Zipzoomfly... newegg is very helpfull and got me all my rebates, but zzf is totally useless. i dont plan on ever seeing the last zzf rebates. believe me i went threw the hole song and dance with newegg and zzf.. Less of a hastle with newegg of course.

right know i only have a handfull of replys, but hopefully the list will grow in the near future. im fairly positive i will have leverage once the list is large enough. I suspect most newegg customers will have recieved there rebates, but for everyone else, id imagine it will be very difficault or they may just never recieve the rebates.

Note - if your worried about emailing personal contact information to the addy i set up above.. just send a valid email if your woried about personal info. though the more info the better. but any reply is better then none at all.

iv posted this around other placess as well, but if you know somewere else i should post this. let me know.

Got my last rebates, no thanks to ZipZoomFly. Not sure that Newegg helped on the ones they were involved in, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have the same general sense of SoyoRep, that he was helpful or at least trying to be. Unfortunately, over the last 8 months, it has become increasingly difficult to think positive thoughts about anything connected with Soyo rebates -- or Soyo products generally. The good news is that I won't have to think about this much any more, since I have no intention of ever buying another Soyo product. Ciao.

I didnt have a problem with Tigerdirect and onrebate, It took 4 months to get my rebates but it did come.

As far as newegg helping out on the Soyo one Im not thinking so as they didnt respond back to me after many emails back and the last one was given to their supervisor and I never got another reply back. Newegg disappointed me in all this as well and some of my business has allready moved elsewhere.
