Damnit! Why did they do this directly after XMas?! ARG! Now I'm stuck with bestbuy giftcards: where DDR only goes up to PC2700, processor(core clock, not FSB!:Q) affects performance more than the Via Onboard Video, and a P4/2.4Ghz/400Mhz is $250.
People generally don't give computer parts for 3 reasons:
1: They don't understand what your asking for; even if you give a direct link, they probobly don't know/understand what a CPU, video card, or MB is.
2: They aren't internet ready, and don't trust online retailers with their credit card #'s.
3: They don''t see any "Christmas" or "Birthday" spirit in giving you a new CPU.
For two of those, they would probobly still be willing to get you a GC.
