I've been using NewEgg for my 'puter parts since they started. I've gotten to know the customer service folks pretty well and wwhen they go above and beyond normal duties, I'll send them a Thank You or Praise email. The last one I sent to them got me a box of freebies including...
1) Plextor T-shirt
2) AMD pens
3) NewEgg case badges
4) Coffee mug
Friends of mine that I told about the freebies have received a variety of goodies..it's not he same from box to box.
IF you've ordered stuff from NewEgg and liked 'em, just send an email with your customer name/account name or #...even an invoice # and your current address to service@newegg.com
Feel that NewEgg love!

Honestly, any company with customer service worth their salt will do this.
If you fill out those quality survey cards at restaurants and stuff they'll generally send back a personalized reply with a coupon.
Believe it or not most places DO listen to customer feedback!

I had praised outpost.com to the point of kissing ass back in 99 for christmas, when they managed to get me a TiVo (they had free next day air back in the day) when absolutely no other company could manage to find one or ship one on time. They gave me a very kind thank you letter, but i didn't get any free stuff

I do like NewEgg though, they have good deals pretty often. Just ordered that 40x12x48x refurb plexwriter from them. Can't wait to get it

I find that newegg has the best everyday low prices w/ amazing customer service. I just ordered a KT3 MSI mobo that was doa... I rma'ed it and they sent me a new one without any hassel. I think paying 5 bucks extra is sometimes worth the customer service... altho, often they are the company that's 5 bucks cheaper.

Been there, done that, got absolute dick. Newegg didn't even respond further I would like to point out that thier customer service dept is difficult at best. I only buy from them when I have to. I once asked them a question and all I got was a smart assed response (yes for the disbelievers it was written professionally for my employer). Boo to neweggs cust service dept.

I love newegg alot, but I did have one bad experience ((

It's partly my fault though, due to my impatience, I was using a 166mhz computer and wanted a new mobo + cpu really bad. I sent in a check for it. I cancelled the order a few days later before the check even cleared, and re-ordered a different mobo with a credit card. I checked back a few days and my first reappeared! I cancelled it again, and a few days later my first order was shipped?!@#

I was pretty pissed, and I didn't feel like returning it and paying shipping and whatever so I just kept both orders.

Other than that all my experiences have been pleasant.

If you haven't already, try reading the Terms and Conditions at Newegg. Seems like you'll have a great experience with them as long as you don't have to return anything or do anything that strays outside of their "guidelines as stated in the Terms and Conditions) Many many years ago I bought a Commodore 64 from a company in Philadelphia. I had to return it(exchange it) for another one to fix a problem with the keyboard. The company was nice when I was buying, but when I brought a return in, all the employees scattered like rats from a sinking ship. So far I haven't had any problems with products from newegg, but I hear a lot of horror stories, and am hoping I never have to have anything RMA'd or such.....

Ive had all good experiences with them except for one exception. I once ordered an oem 1.2ghz t-bird from them, it showed up in my cart and everything (and on the receipt online that I FOOLISHLY didnt print). A 1ghz retail t-bird showed up. On the order form it said 1 ghz retail t-bird. I called and complained saying that wasnt what i ordered. I even sent back the email with the confirmation and they figured I had rigged it or something. Either way I ended paying $2 more for a processor that was 200mhz slower. The best part was they said they would credit me for the amount of that the cpu was CURRENTLY worth minus the percent restocking fee. The price drops combined with shipping and restocking made me eat $60 for no damn reason, I just kept the thing.

I had to RMA my motherboard and it was shaping up to be a nightmare. The problem was small (the case fan header stopped supplying power) and I could have worked around it. It was almost a year since i bought it and they told me that I could exchange it but I had to pay for shipping and then wait until they got more in stock and they would definitely not cross-ship. They let me know when they received the motherboard and then when they checked it in. Then, they told me that they will refund the price I paid for it. It was $120 new. It was going for about $70 new now. I was all set to have a horror story on my hands but it worked out well in the end so I will remain a customer.
