Just a heads up to everyone. A pretty good deal on one of the best mobos out right now. I have been eyeballing these boards on newegg for awhile and they have been $69 for awhile. I saw them at $60 so I decided to pick one up. Keep in mind you'll be getting no accesories.

This isn't always true... I'm sure most of the time, everything is there. It's just not 100% sure that everything will be included.

Are you talking about the i/o plate? As stated already twice, you are getting only the motherboard itselft NOTHING else (most likely). You can order the accessories through asus. I was told by an asus rep that the accessory packet costs 15 dollars.

Asus refurbs NEVER come with accessories.. NEVER! You will get NOTHING but the motherboard..

You can get a free I/O plate from asus if you ask their customer service (even free shipping).

The accessory pack can be had for $15 (including ALL accessories)

All the boards received over the past few months were rev 2.0. I bought one a couple months ago and got a 2.0 and am using it right now and couldn't be happier!

I ordered my refurb last week and received revision 1.04 board. Came in a white box with foam and anti-static bag and nothing else. Asus customer service sent me a free I/O plate and I got it in 3 days via regular mail. My 1.04 and Barton 2500+ is humming along at 11x200 and default Vcore without a hiccup using bios 1006. I flashed it to 1007 when I first powered up and everything was great until I ran my first benchmark (3DMark03) and had severe artifacts during the cpu tests. I flashed it back to 1006 and it's flawless in games and benchmarks. Good luck!

What are the key differences between rev 1.04 and 2.0

Can't 1.04 do 200 fsb too?

Does rev 2.0 have any other advantage?

I think with the bios flash the 1.04 can do 200mhz bus also. I'm not really sure what the _exact_ differences are. Maybe someone can clue us in.

i'm also in the process of getting in contact with asus customer support. after waiting on the phone for a good 5 minutes with a hang-up, i emailed instead.

I got one of these when they were $69, got a rev. 2 board, but it wouldn't post @ anything but the default settings, updated the bios, etc, I have a brand new board & troubleshot it to the refurb MB. ASUS has had it for >1 week now, still waiting on a replacement

Asus refurb MBs seem to be one of the few refurb items that are actually refurbs at Newegg. They must have a deal with Asus to sell refurb MBs. Almost everthing else in the refurb section are customer returns with no testing.

When you call Asus RMA number they will send you the entire accessory pack for $20 shipped. Took about three weeks for me.

People might have ide/sata cables. The accessories aren't *needed* to run the board.
