Looks like a nice all in one for the casual user. Remember Asus refurbs come with no assys however

Unlike the NF2, the NF has a normal ATX backplane. The only thing your missing is the digital audio connector, $7 from many places including NewEgg.

This is a bargain. No mult control, but FSB up to 166 no sweat. Just need to move a (soddered) jumper on the mobo. Onboard Soundstorm audio. I use mine as a HTPC.

Really inexpensive nForce 1 board with an MX400 on it. Regarding upping the bus to 166, do nForce 1 boards have AGP/PCI locks? If so, 166 bus is a really good idea.

Looks like either newegg removed the item, or it is sold out. It was there this morning though!

This is precisely why I don't like posting refurbs in the hot deals section. The really good deals are gone almost instantly. In fact crafty Newegg refurb shoppers usually get the real hot deals before they are even officially posted. I'm not going to say how, because I dont' want to reward laziness, which is exactly what posting Newegg refurbs in hot deals encourages. If you want good refurb deals at Newegg, check the site often during the day. Once someone posts a "refurb" link in Anand's or FW, it is like a swarm of locasts decending.

I agree as well. Newegg puts only handful of units for each refurb item, so by the time someone finishes posting, "Newegg has this refurb or that', they are all gone.

Newegg refurb section overall could be a good deal, but posting each item as a good deal just does not make sense.

Carefull with this one. Bought one and was DOA. Couldnt get myself to check it in time and lost money as it was beyond 15 day RMA

Yes, this board locks AGP and PCI. There is no Vdimm adjustment. The BIOS actually has options up to 183MHz, but the chipset isn't stable at that speed and I never bothered to try and up the voltage.

Are any of the adaptors (3rd of the pictures) included? Newegg's page says "Accessory items are NOT INCLUDED with refurbished products."

How are you locking AGP?
Best I can get out of about 6 I tried was around 152MHz fsb.
Above that and it would choke.
The same CPU's and memory work in Epox 8k5a2 and 8rda+ at 205MHz fsb.
I even changed CPU bridges to increase vcore. Still couldn't hit above 152MHz.
Wanted to try a Barton 2500+, but 166MHz didn't seem possible.
What's your secret to locking the chipset at 133MHz?

What BIOS are you running?

The AGP is locked unless you choose "Internal Graphic Over-Clocking" (or different wording with similar meaning) in the BIOS setup, Advanced/Chip Configuration Screen.

Mine will only do ~150MHz FSB with two memory modules, but by using only one it does all the way to 181MHz stable. You may need to add the jumper mod to get 166MHz.

There is a addon card for this board for tv-out feature. It's pretty expensive at $27 shipped. I could only find it at newegg:

Tv-out addon

I would like to make a htpc. Is there any other place that sells this addon for cheaper? I'd buy this for around $10-$15 shipped.
