<< My bad experience: I purchased a refurb Ennermax powersupply. It worked less than one day and died - and I RMA'ed it. They send me back and e-mail saying they couldn't replace it and "We have therefore credited you full on this item to your credit card. You can use it to purchase any replacement as needed." When I got my credit card statement back, they had only credited me back the cost of the product, NO TAX, NO SHIPPING. So I have nothing and paid tax and shipping in both directions. Of course you don't find this out for 40 days later when your statment shows up in the mail.

I dont think they refund return shipping unless you enclose a shipping receipt.

Come on... technically no retailer does. I was told by a (guy) sales rep that their defective claims are sent back to the supplier and then many are sent back to them for resale.

Isn't the cost $0 if you swap them out yourself? And don't tell me that time is money. Tinkering and tweaking our own system(s) should be a labor of love, otherwise go get a Dell.

I've bought a total of eight refurbed newegg mobos, most of them needed major tweaking to get them fully functional. That's fine with me because all of them still work very well today at a significant $$$ savings.

I got one refurbished MB from newegg (the one I was waiting for some time to appear - Epox 7KHA+) and that is the best board I have, works flawlessly. But then again that is only my experience.

I got a refurb MSI K7N420 Pro mobo from NewEgg yesterday...just came with the bare board and nothing else (despite what others said about getting ALL components). The board kept locking at POST. I tried everything to get it to work.

I called and got an RMA# and sent it back this morning. I ordered a brand new K7N-133R last night to replace it. NO MORE REFURB FOR ME!!!

One of you will probably get the one I returned b/c it wouldn't post (bought new) I believe there was something wrong with the power connector (the plug wouldn't fit completely on it no matter how hard I pushed)

Refurb = great price = risk

Money talks loudest tho, and you'll be back.

I just sent my 3rd bad MB refurb board back to new egg. Voltage is terrible on the board. Keeps locking up. I give up one the refurbs. Whoever gets the board i just sent back. good luck

I just got a RMA number for boards number three and four. Perhaps we should save Newegg some shipping cost's and just swap directly with each other.

How long does it take Newegg to exchange/RMA a MB? I just bought a new retail MB from NewEgg that I just sent back to be RMAed for a working one. Do they exchange with a new MB or refurbished, because if its refurbished I will be seriously PO'ed.


EDIT: Also how do you check the stock of whats left in refurbs?

The description of Refurb EPOX EP-8KHA+ says it's 1.3 revision, which is bad.

That happened with the ECS boards that I got. They were brand new, not even open too.

If I remember correctly, revision 1.3 is an early model and has some problems.

Some says 1.3 is 8KHA, not 8KHA+ :Q

This is really nothing new. It was common knowledge that 8KHA+ version 1.3 got a bad BIOS chip, and EPOX updated it to ver 2.0. Those refurbs were swapped for new BIOS chips in the factory and most of them were nearly brand new with a new BIOS chip. However, it is a moot point since they are already out of stock.
