I'll never buy from googlegear again. 2 weeks after receiving a MSI dually board, 1 of the sockets just stopped working. Called googlegear and they sent me to MSI. MSI sent me back to googlegear. Went on for a couple days. Finally googlegear issued an RMA after numerous calls, and then only after my saying "okl I give up. I'm hanging up and calling the bank. Enjoy the chargeback." That was the last item I bought there... I'll go pay compusa style retail before giving them my money again.

Newegg has by far the best site of it's kind on the whole net... of course that's just my opinion.

I doubt I will take this oppertunity to get a small advertisment iten from them however I have to say that I have ordered probably 2k in stuff from them over the past two years and I have never had a problem. I did have to RMA a motherboard once and getting a new one was no problem.

I do however have a Linksys USB 802.11b station that never worked right since the day I got it and I probably should have RMAed that item. Now to think of it, since they gave me the same box back with my RMAed motherboard, I wonder if they would will still RMA the wireless station even though I threw the box out.

LOL, for some reason that got me laughing!

Back to topic - NE has been great for me since I started using them a couple years ago. I honestly am really impressed with the shipping speed, my last order was a complete new build - ordered on wednesday morning and it arrived on friday afternoon - cost me a whole $14.00 for shipping. I have never left a review for them or anybody else, maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks to the OP for the heads up.

I would, but I really don't want anymore coffee mugs, pens, or t-shirts
I have enough already

maybe I can start a thread where people can e-mail me telling me how much they love me and I can give away all my excess coffee mugs, pens, and t-shirts in the process!

Just happened across this thread but I did the positive feedback thing a while back and got a free t-shirt a few NE case badges, and an AMD Athlon pen.. I think I got more but I don't remember what. Newegg rocks.

Well I'm on slow ass 640/256 DSL and that site is very fast for me. I guess you should talk to your ISP. As far as being able to find stuff at newegg.com, I think there's a certain level of intelligence required. I like to think of it as a customer filter. The less morons they have ordering the less unnecessary RMA requests they get. In this case it sounds like it worked.

I'm glad they were slow at the time, since I'd hate to do business with anyone who'd have you as a customer.

I however... have a different story on newegg.

My friend recently bought two different MB from newegg for his new computers ( I was helping him building it).

One of the MB came DOA and the shipping took over two weeks. (supposely the story is that some train carrying the shipment crashed?)
When he tried to send the dead MB back, it took them another 2 weeks to send in a new one.
Needless to say, the whole deal took over a month to resolve.

He wasn't too happy about it.

Well I had to RMA a video card and the whole process was extremely fast. I don't see why it wouldn't be the case with you but perhaps they were telling the truth.

I just sent them a thank you and a good vote on resellerratings. Their quick handling of my order on a CPU fan saved the day(s) for me. Was the best price on the particular fan too.

my $.02 on Newegg...

I ordered from Newegg a Soundblaster live OEM Card Last week, great price, free Fedex saver. - it came very quickly.

The good news: - The card installed quicky in my 600sc and works fine:

The not so good news: they shipped the card in an un-sealed static bag and whcih was apparently wrapped loosely with bubble wrap...and put in a fedex box. When I opened, the card was out of the bag, and not wrapped in bubblee wrap, was just loose in the box, with an empty bag and a piece of bubble wrap on the side along with the installCD. I expect better packing from a commercial seller.

This makes me very hesitant to buy from them again...Granted the card was only $33 shipped, but they could have at least put some tape on the anti-static bag and around the bubble wrap so that it would be properly packed...It would have cost $.01 for tape and maybe 15 seconds of time for the guy/gal who packaged to do it correctly. Had the card been damaged I would have been majorly PO'd.

Gee, I wonder if the free coffee mug would be properly packaged...maybe they can wrap it in the Tee Shirt!

ROFLMAO!!!

Please note, however, that at your current rate, you should not reply again until November 2005. 2 posts every 2.5 years. No point in straining yourself...

I have ordered from them enough that my fiance thinks I am addicted to Newegg. I have had good experiences from them & would like to get a shirt just to spread the word one wee bit. I was even thinking about buying one. (Crosses fingers & hopes for free T.)

With your luck, you'll get a tshirt for your fiance that says "My fiance bought a lot of stuff from Newegg, and all I got was this free tshirt!".

I wouldn't claim to have spent a few thousand or anything on the meager amount of money I have scraped together as a student, but Newegg really is the first place I ever look when I go to buy something... next up, IC7@Newegg (w/ free tshirt) :-D
