Mine is still showing as OnVehicle for delivery. I live in an apartment, so even if it gets delivered while my wife is picking up my daughter from school, it will be at my rental office. I'm excited. if I get the t-shirt and pen, I'll be pretty stoked. A FREE PEN!!!! Woohoo!

Dude, the stylus would ROCK! Dang it, FedEx. Deliver my package already, so i can call my wife and have her check it out.

Just out of curiosity, do they package everything in their typical "foam peanuts all over the place" standard, or is it just shipped in a regular FedEx box? If I have my wife open the box full of peanuts and have them all over the bed just so she can confirm I got a t-shirt and a pen, I'll laugh, but she won't be too happy.

It's rare for 'em to use the styronuts in a gift package...unless they send a big 'un like those black floppy drives a few folks have received.
I've never had any of 'em in my reward packs. The t-shirts serve that cusioning purpose pretty blessed well.

Guys...we've succeeded in getting NE past PussycatDirect at PriceGrabber's ratings. Now comes the tuff one...we need an additional 550+ reviews to move NE past OogleGear. You can score additional goodies by doing the reviews at those 3 sites listed in my initial post of this thread.

No stylus, just a shirt, AMD pen and 2 case badges. Still, for free you can't complain and I like the shirt design! Once again - Thanks Newegg!!!

I wasn't complaining, but I was hoping for the stylus. I guess it is time to post another review at one of the other ratings sites. I posted one message at ResellerRatings. I'll probably hit one or two of the others listed in the "thank You" letter they sent with the package.

Got the same thing. Was hoping for a newegg coffee mug or something, as I already have a newegg t-shirt given to me by a friend. Put one of the case badges on my Coolermaster ATC-201 case already, seeing as how every component in it was purchased from them.

Newgg RULES.

There is no doubt newegg rocks. They are one of the few companies who suppurt the military by offering shipping to fpo/apo areas. ............................. However , When I paid $30 to SHIP 2 video cards I was a little pissed. The box had a $3.95 postage stamp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I emailed customer service and got no real reply. Go ahead and enjoy (free fedex shipping) while those fighting for YOUR freedom get a$$-raped on shipping. Ironic.

It's always been a thorn in my side that they'll charge 25$ for something and $5 shipping, then the next vendor will charge $27 for something and 2 something for shipping...

Got my box, with T-shirt & I am luxuriating in uber-cool geekness. I did get the regular t. Not one that says I bought a lot of junk & all I got was this t jmgonzo.
My son was impressed by the memory keychain, but both he & the g-friend were giving me heck about the shirt :> (you're a geek, dad.)
They shouldn't be complaining. I put all the old Slayer concert T's in the closet.

atgep,
I sent my buddy at NewEgg an email about the APO/FPO thing. Here's his response...

Mike,

The Postage stamp fee is no doubt correct at $3.95

What he does not understand is what's called S/H (Shipping and Handling). We charge the necessary fee to make APO service worth while.

Amongst all the normal automated orders they go down the conveyer belt line and placed right on the FedEx trucks parked on the warehouse dock, we have these APO orders. They get placed into a stack and have an employee manually fill out paperwork, put the packages in his Van and drive down to the Post Office, wait in line and fill out their paper work. Do all this and then come back.

Should we have only charged $3.95 ?

JD

Hope that explains things to your satisfaction atgep!

Glad to hear the goodies are arriving! Now it's time to go get mo'!
Da man told me yesterday he's got some VERY cool new goodies for the rewards program. I can't give ya the details yet, but as soon as the FedEx guy drops the boxes at my do' I'll let ya know how cool they really are.

He also told me that he'd work on getting some more coffee mugs per that request earlier in this thread.

One of our peeps who got a DOA floppy has a couple nice surprises heading his way.

Well, if you want to relay some messages with aggravated customers, feel free to relay this one:

I order a K7S5A Pro mobo and 1800+ CPU. The board arrived, I installed it, and it wouldn't post. However, in the process, I determined it blew the CPU AND my ATI Radeon Video Card. I called in for an RMA, and Anna manually entered it into the system. I asked about cross-shipping, and was told to just reorder everything again and they would issue refunds on the RMA when they received them back. I had the funds available, so i went ahead and reordered everything, this time option to pay for overnight shpping since I was dead in the water. Received the new board and CPU, and this time everything would post, but my hard drive data was corrupted. I had to fdisk and reinstall, but while trying to reinstall, XP kept showing two 8GB drives (instead of the 40GB and 16GB they are) and failed during install. I also found that every time I attempted to just fdisk and create a directory on the drives, the data instantly corrupted. Okay, bad IDE Controller. I filled out the online RMA, then followed up with a phone call. Told I would get a refunbd on the 2nd mobo when received, and I should just reorder the 3rd board (different mfr) and they waived the overnight shipping for the Shuttle board.

Received the Shuttle board, got up and running, and everything was great. I ordered a new video card from them, and got that with no problem. The RMAs were received for the CPU and 2 mobos. I check online for my RMA status a few days ago, and found the CPu was set for refund but 2 mobos were in process of being picked from the warehouse for ship. I called again, and got the orders voided and was advised I would get refunds for the 2 mobos, also. Checked my email, and had confirmation mails advising the orders were cancelled and I should get the refunds.

Yesterday, I received 2 boxes from FedEx: guess what they were? 2 ECS mobos. I look online at my account, and the orders that were voided still show voided, but I suddenly have new orders created the same day I called, but later in the evening. Now I'm going to have to ship these back at my expense (although it was not due to any fault of my own) AND wait even longer for my money to be refunded. Not a happy customer any longer

Al,
Based on your story, I'd bet you checked replacement instead of refund when you filled out the online RMA. That would explain the 2 mobos.
I've forwarded your post to JD but your AT profile doesn't show an email or PM box so it'll take his people time to research and figger out how to contact ya.

I should have PMs available. i just checked my progfile again, and it does show PM turned on. However, I will send you PM after this post and give you more info, if needed.

On the RMAs, the 1st was entered by a NewEgg support person directly. I believe she did set it for repair, but the second, I think, was set for refund. I may be mistaken, though. Regardless, the two replacement orders for the boards were voided by a NewEgg CSR when I called, but new orders were STILL generated afterwards, which definitely should not have occurred.

In any case, check your PM. I'm going to call them in about 15 minutes to see what happens, but I'll PM you with my home email address (and work email, as well, , since I won't be home for several hours) and do not have access to my home email at work. (Blocked by our corporate firewall)

Thanks!

Al

EDIT: To be fair to NewEgg, I feel I SHOULD update the forum with the latest details. I contacted NewEgg, and was told the 2 boards I received from FedEx were actually the original boards I returned as RMAs sent back to me again. Apparently, the boards were warped due to heat or something. The boards were NOT warped when they were in my possession, so assuming NewEgg received them this way, they warped during shipping. I placed all the RMAs (2 boards and 1 CPU) along with styronuts and paperwork, in it's original packaging, into the box sent from NewEgg when I returned it. It was mailed via USPS. If the boards warped from heat, it was due to handling by USPS. I don't know if it ended up in a hot truck overnight, or just stuck in a hot truck during transit, but the heat issue was not caused by me. I explained the situation, and I was told that NewEgg WOULD, IN FACT, refund the cost of the boards to me, anyway, even though they initially advised that they would not. I'll keep an eye on my bank account and see what happens, as well as any emails received from NewEgg advising on the status.

sweet! can't wait to see what the "new goodies" are. after reading your post i sent an email to newegg and sure enough, a few days later a fedex package arrived in the mail (t, amd pen, and case badges)! cool! they also suggested i post my comments at pricegrabber and some other site, so i did and sent them email about it. i was hoping for a coffee mug, but now i'm hoping for the "cool new goodies"!

keep up the good work, NEWEGG. i can feel a new purchase coming on ... !

I ordered about $1500 worth of stuff over the last few months, built a pc and upgraded another with multiple orders thru NewEgg, not one order was out of stock, delayed, or messed up in anyway, in other words they provided good prices, FAST shipping and accurate service, so I dropped them a line saying something to the effect of I know you get alot of complaints at times but my letter is just a thank you for the consistant speed and accurate service at a good value.

I got 2 newegg case badges, a gigabyte pen, a crucial keychain, a newegg tshirt and a AMD hat.

Figured they wouldn't mind getting a satisfied customers email vs a complaint at their service email addy, I will continue to shop newegg and hope that in future orders things are similar.
