I checked Quicken to determine what my spending was - $6000 in the last 12 months alone. I think I have a problem - maybe we need an NA forum (NewEgg Anonymous)

Anyway, I cannot remember ever having an issue with anything I have ordered. And that $6K was at least 30 different orders. So, I would say 5/5 or 10/10 or whatever, but order without fear or hesitation - they are truly the best online site you could order from.

Well, according to their website, I have $106 pending as a refund for the 2 defective boards. $56 for the 1st mobo, then an additional $52 for the 2nd mobo after it had droppe in price between orders. I also saw the $66 refund appear in my account today. I know the whole situation has been a severe P-I-T-A, but NewEgg has really impressed me by their dedication & commitment to making me happy.

Heh...I'm now in the market for a DVD writer. Staples has some MIRs, IRs, and of course, coupons that will take the price down to ~$130. (see the thread in the Hot Deals forum here for more info) If newEgg could find a way to make their price on a DVD Burner compettive with Staples, I would buy it from them in a heartbeat, even if it was a little higher (within ~$10). NewEgg, are you listening? Hook me up and get another sale....

maybe they've gotten enough reviews now or something. I also only received a thank you reply email and no reward.

Actually this is one of the reasons why I stopped buying from Newegg. Bribing people to write positive reviews about you is not right. What it means is now, none of the reviews can be trusted that are written about Newegg.

First it was the reviews about single products on their site they stopped allowing negative reviews, now this.

I've also purchased plenty from them in the past, and never have received one "gift". I remember the good old days when buy.com would send out gifts to their customers, for no reason.

Another satisfied Tiger Direct customer.

Newegg rocks, I don't need to read any stinking reviews about them, however it should be duly noted that I have never posted a review for them, the total amount I spend is MIA, the wife is not in the know either(thank goodness), I think this idea is definetley a good one, how many of you actually post reviews for company's when you order? Can you think of the last time you did? People tend to remember the bad over the good so I think that this *bribe* is justified unless you happen to be someone who writes a review every so often or every time you make a purchase then this need not apply to you as Newegg
is trying to get THEIR SLACKER customers like me to give them some ratings whether it be good or bad.

dayum...not only am I cheap.. ..I'm a slacker Newegg customer as well.. ..sweet Newegg way loads better than Outpost :disgust:

Me too. And by the way, Newegg is way better than Tigerdirect can hope to be. Everything about them is better, service, navigation on the site, prices, shipping. I could go on and on.

Had one bad RMA dealing with NewEgg, which was never straightened out. I ordered a compact flash card for my digital camera, turns out the card was not compatible with the camera. I sent an email to NE requesting to exchange the card with the details of the exchange, they said ok to send it back. I sent the card back, wanting another card for the same price, different brand, smaller size (going from 64M to 32M). NewEgg sent back the same brand/size card that I originally had. I RMA'd again, writing the details on the invoice and including it in the package. NE once again sent the same original brand and size card. At this point I gave up on that RMA, and kept the current CF card, giving it away to a friend as present.

I have to say, the speed and ease of getting the RMA was great, except the fact they kept sending the wrong item back to me.

I have ordered plenty of other times from them, shipping was great, no problems with the items. I would estimate I have spent around $3k total at this point.

Just my experience...

zaquaz,
Please send all the info on that bad RMA experience to the complaint guys in CS. Make sure you include your customer # and/or email addie used to place orders.

Guys....we actually ate up NE's entire stock of Rewards!!!! They ran out last week which would explain why a couple of you haven't seen anything in their order status basket. The goodies arrived today, Tuesday, so your Reward boxes should be heading out tonight or tomorrow according to JD.

so you think we will get a reward even if we only got the thank you message instead of the message that mentions the free gift?

joecool,
Did ya include your customer # or NewEgg email sign in addie as well as the name(joecooler) and date of the posting...along with the site...a link helps expedite things.
If you haven't received a reply to your previous email, just send another including the above info. Sending one email per review increases the number of boxes. It may be they held some replies when they ran out of goodies last week. Goodies are back in stock.

New stuff? JD asked me to wait until he gets an adequate supply in...seems we're REALLY scoring a ton at a time. As soon as he gets the big shipment and gives me a shout I can let ya know what the new batches will have. He doesn't want to tease folks and get 'em PO'ed by running out in 10 minutes

I to am guilty of not leaving feedbacks to online retailers. Feedbacks are well deserved whether it be good or bad! I need to stop being a slacker!

I got my reward package. I got a NewEgg LAN party t-shirt, case badges, and pen. Now I have to go leave some reseller feedback posts.

I guess to me this makes pretty good business sense. Loyal customers are rewarded and NewEgg company morale probably improves based on positive feedback from customers. Or something like that....

NewEgg is great! I pretty much consider them one of the best online resellers, if not THE best.

My last box of goodies had the same stuff as all the last few folks received...LAN Party/Gigafast t shirts, NewEgg case badges and AMD pens. I really like those AMD pens. My SOP loves 'em too...she steals them all.

PC911MickSter: Just saw your post. You have email.

I'm very happy with NewEgg. I did finally get the credit for the 2 bad boards. It seems that USPS either beat the heck out of the box I sent back to NE, or they left it in a hot warehouse for an extended period of time. (It took about 10 days to get from MD to CA, which seems awfully long, anyway) When I actually opened the FedEx boxes from NE for the boards they returned to me, I found the boxes seriously dented/squished, and even torn on one of the sides. That box must have been drop kicked a few times just for fun. The thng is, I packed them in styro-nuts and everything, but it still got trashed. The boards themselves were even bent significantly. I guess I got 2 extra IDE and floppy cables out of the deal, but it's not like I really needed them, anyway. Oh well. NE came through for me, though, so I'll definitely order from them again.

I guess I need to go and post another exceptional review at another site. The inital review was at ResellerRatings.com.

Okay, I posted the review at PriceGrabber. I wish that site gave more room to write the review instead of limiting the amount of characters, or at least give a more comprehensive rating system on all aspects instead.

Anyway, I noticed the last review posted was 5/23. I find it hard to believe that no one else has posted anything about NewEgg since that time, so does any one know how long it takes them to update their site with the reviews? After posting, I got a prompt advising that someone from PG has to review the content before posting the review, and I was just wondering if anyone knew the timeframe.

Thanks!

So...has anyone actually received any "rewards" lately? I posted my review at PriceGrabber on 5/28 (as mentioned in this thread) and received a "Thanks for the review" email reply, but nothing has shown up on my account at all and the reply email seemed pretty generic and vague.

Just wanted to find out if any one else has received anything lately.

Before I found this thread, I sent newegg an email saying thanks for the great service. They sent me an email back asking me to give them ratings on those sites. I did and I replied and told them so. I didnt receive anything for a while. Then I placed an order. The next day, I noticed that they had sent me a gift package as well. A few days ago I recieved a t-shirt, pen, logitech clip, and a couple newegg case stickers.
