Newegg shipping changes

Since when did newegg change their shipping policies. I used to get stuff from them in one or two days. I ordered some memory from them on the 23rd and here it is the 30th and still no memory. It looks like in tracking that it shifted from DHL to USPS somewhere during it's travels. It's a 7 hour drive to here from where they are shipping it from. I guess I'm going to have to find a new supplier.

Sigh... for small items they use dhl. Which iirc if 5 to 10 business days. If you wanted it faster should order something else to so you can get the 2/3 day shipping with ups.

also, if there is no dhl center in your city they just ship it to the closest usps box and then they take over.

My god you are a whiny bitch. Its not neweggs policy to lose your package. The shipping company is the one who messed up. Complain that DHL does not deliver to your house and instead gives the package to the usps who then lost it.

It all depends on which shipper you choose. If you want it in two days then pay for the 2 days shipping, if you select "egg saver" to save a few bucks then its your fault.

newegg = shit now.

tigerdirect is where it's at. When I ordered my laptop (with standard shipping) it came the next day. It originated one state away, but newegg orders shipped from the same state took 3-4 days to get here. No order processing cut-off time is another big boon for tigerdirect.

I've been hearing more and more complaints of newegg. Not that they are bad in any way (obviously), but 2 things.... more people are ordering there, and possibly that for a little bit, newegg may be getting a bit too big for their good old fashioned service like used to be seen. I'd still shop there over any other online retailer.

I've never had any issues with them, granted I've ordered 1/10th the number of things from td that I have from newegg.

Well since eggsaver is rated at 3-7 business days just because sometimes you get it quick does not mean you will always get it quick. In all cases newegg is going to go with the lowest cost option(to them), unless you specify you need it sooner.

TD use to suck, Newegg use to be the best, I predict by this time next year it will be almost the opposite. I live 30 miles from Newegg, so my shipping is typically great, I haven't tried this Eggsaver though so I can't comment on it. I know a lot more people seem to be complaining about their shipping then I ever remember.

newegg is still great, but their shipping is starting to piss me off. It does NOT cost $22 to ship 5 F***ING fans (2x120, 2x80, 1x60) from New Jersey to Cincy, especially since they ARE ALL IN THE SAME GODAMN BOX.

Other than that, can't beat them.

When was the last time you used them?

TigerDirect charged something like 200 AT members $50 for a phone card that they did not want, or ask for, and they did it on purpose. If you want to give them another chance, and don't care if you get charged for things you did not order, feel free to do it. Search the archives if you want for more info, there were a ton of threads on it.

Once a company tries to steal from me or my friends, they will never get my business again. I don't care if it is 5 years later.

search for tigerdirect didn't return anything other than some people saying they'd never touch td. resellerratings shows 7.07 lifetime and 9.06 past 6 months for td.

Do you have any links or should I be searching for a different keyword?

Tiger Direct had a stigma in FS/FT for a long time of offering rebates and denying them or altogether ignoring submissions, making random charges beyond what people agreed to at checkout, offering a sale price on an item, shipping it, and then charging full price, flat out NOT shipping products, horrible customer service, and leaking customer info to third parties.

I've bought from them a couple of times with no problem, but when you hear lots of burn stories but very few success stories, you tend to avoid them even if you stumble across the deal of the century.

Hmm TD does have a significantly lower lifetime rating on resellerratings, but also has 1/4 the number of ratings, and from what I've gathered, most of the TD troubles have happened a while ago.

I dunno, out of all the stuff I've ordered on newegg, there has been trouble with about half of it, from shipping woes to dead parts to RMA hurdles, but of the couple of things I've gotten from TD it's been great with fast shipping, phone order confirmation (which is great IMO since I've had a debit card number stolen before) and good prices.

However, if TD is as bad as some make it seem, I'd like to know a bit more about it. With the Christmas season fast approaching, I'm going to be making a bunch of online orders, and newegg and TD are the two main etailers that I'd be ordering from.

Tigerdirect is the best buy of online electronic sellers. Newegg has much better customer service. I agree, newegg needs to do some sort of flate rate shipping rate for small items.
