I think they just put one too many "9's" in there. I don't think anyone will be buying it until it's fixed though ...then again, I don't think anyone will buy one anyways.

Its an obvious mistake. You sure you didn't know this when you were making this thread? You seriously thought that it was logical to do 119 on shipping? With newegg's high rep and high scores, you want to tell me you honestly thought this was the real shipping price?

I like Newegg...for their quick shipping of products. I'd rather order from them than Monarch (they are the SLOWEST)

Newegg could be better...and I hope they get better.

I?ll tell ya, I discover NewEgg back in 2001. Before that time I had used Buy.Com exclusively since they were the bomb back then.

Buy.Com, as we know, went to the dogs shortly thereafter. OOS most of the time, long ?Sent to warehouse? times, long shipping times, etc. I placed an order with Buy.Com 2 weeks ago and it took, I kid you not, 9 DAYS to get here after they "shipped" it. 9 Days. What are they kidding me. Also, during that time the tracking number didn?t work and a call to "Customer Service" after scouring the web to even *find* a phone number yielded the heaviest indian accent I have ever heard. I suppose it didn't help that I told him "Oh I'm sorry, I must have gotten misrouted, I thought I pressed "1" for ENGLISH!!!"

As a funny side note I filled out their "online Customer Service" inquiry form over a week ago, still no reply. Surprise, surprise.

Anyway, over the past 4 years I have spent many, many thousands of dollar with NewEgg. They almost without fail, get the item out the same day I order, and shipping takes 2 days from CA to here in the Midwest.

NewEgg - Good Things

- Pricing (Typically very competitive)

- Shipping (Their standard shipping takes 2 days for me)

- Outstanding, industry leading, product presentation. Their product photos are numerous and very high quality.

- Customer Service. An actual phone number and a human at the other end.

- Customer Appreactiation - They have always made me happy when I?ve had an issue. They also ship me stuff like hats, shirts, pens, etc. from time to time. They just show up. That is a nice touch.

- Order history online, even way, way back.


NewEgg - Bad Things

- The addition of shipping charges. Now we all know they have to make a profit. Problem is they used to offer ?free shipping? on most of the items. That has, for the most part, went away lately. You have to be careful when you see an item that is competitively priced to make sure the shipping doesn?t spoil the deal.

- Restocking fee for DOA items. I can see a restock for items I just decided I don?t want. But for DOA items, there should not be a restocking fee.

- Bowing to ?the man?. I think a lot of us are from the same mold. We like to get things done. NewEgg?s site used to be like that. Very utilitarian, useable, and fast. Nowdays it is loaded down and I soon expect to see a Flash app on the front page with Dancing Bears some day.

Note to NewEgg: Remember who made you successful and take care of them (us).
