So....is this it for Newegg, then?
This is their "Black Friday" deals?
Just wondering, I've not done "Black Friday" bargain hunts before, so not sure what Newegg did in years past.

$69 + $3 shipping.
CHAINTECH nVIDIA GeForce FX5500 Video Card
256MB DDR, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "SA5500T2"
Crap. Utter and fetid crap.
The FX 5500 is nothing more than a *slightly* overclocked GeForce FX 5200 (270mhz core vs 250mhz core - memory both clocked at 400mhz). Granted, most cheap FX 5200s also only have 64-bit memory, while the 5500s ALWAYS have 128-bit, still....much better deals out there.
The key thing to remember is that the GeForce 4 Ti4200 is much, MUCH faster than an FX 5200 - in some cases, nearly twice as fast. And Pricewatch shows a ton of brand new Ti4200s for the mid-$60 price range. For example, an
Inno3d card for $62 shipped and an
Abit Ti4200 with external exhaust for $68 shipped - and that from GameVE, who are very reputable dealers. Although, if I were buying one now, I'd get
this BFG card for $68 shipped, BFG's "true lifetime warranty", after all, being worth the price of admission.
