2 things.

1. Please offer combined shipping discounts as in the past.
2. Please offer employee discounts

I dont know why so many ppl here like newegg. They have some good deals, and some not so good ones. I order my parts from a bunch of different places, whoever has the lowest price. I dont mind waiting an extra day or two either. I got stuff from zzf while they wer still googlegear, and had no problems with them. What sux about NE is that they charge you a lot for shipping some small inexpensive items.

I really don't have any complain about Newegg's customer service, but I really don't like their shipping policy. When you order multiple stuff, Newegg usually add the shipping cost up and you won't save much at all.

I have been ordering from zipzoomfly lately, and I think their shipping is great, especially both zipzoomfly and Newegg are on the west coast, and I am in the Midwest. ZZF ship Fedex two days and Newegg ship Fedex ground and the difference can be 2 days or more for me, plus ZZF shipping is free for one or multiple item. The price difference between the two isn't too much too, so ZZF has been getting most of my business lately.

I use newegg because I have always had great service from them (good prices also). I'm not opposed to using other shops either, but I do like newegg.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from newegg in the past, but I just got finished putting a new PC together and found I ordered everything but the actual CPU from ZZF. And the cpu I got from some other place since it was a lot cheaper than both of them. ZZF's free 2-day shipping is really nice.

Looks like I'll be checking out ZZF for my next round of purchaces. I almost bought something from them but cancelled the order. If I can remember my password my info should alreday be there.

I agree the newegg.com shipping charges can be annoying.

I've ordered with both and both of them needed a couple of days to package the items. As for the price, they're about the same for me, so I'm indifferent. However, I've ordered more stuff from ZZF.

Well, Newegg did go ahead and show that they have top notch customer service. Jeff here went beyond the call of duty and got my parts set for delivery on Friday.
Time to call in sick tomorrow since Fedex won't leave things without a signature in my condo complex.

Way to be Newegg. My opinion has swung in your favor again.

I remember the good old days when everything you bought through the mail took 4 to 6 weeks.
You had to open a magazine (they're book-like objects manufactured from paper and ink cleverly folded and held together with small wire devices they called "staples"(not to be confused with the chain of stores that didn't exist yet)), fill out what was called an "order form", place it in the mail with a check, and wait patiently.
It was customary to start checking the mailbox daily after day 7, knowing full well that the items wouldn't be arriving for weeks. There was a name for that condition. I forget what it was called. Oh, it was called "anticipation". It was fun.

P.S. I generally shop at newegg and purchase at mwave.com. Mwave is always a good piece cheaper and they ship immediately (within 30 minutes of placing the order the order is packed and on the dock).

Newegg is great, but I do agree when you purchase multiple items the shipping charges tend to get pricey.

Spoiled brat. When I first started ordering online years ago, I didn't get my stuff until almost 2 weeks later, and the shipping still cost me an arm and a leg. NewEgg + FedEx Saver shipping =

I will buy from Newegg if the price is right. If it isn't, I buy from another trusted retailer.

I will not let brand and store loyalty get in the way of common sense and saving money.

Screw Newegg. They want $4.50 to ship one compact flash card, fine. That's not outside normal shipping costs. But then they want $9.00 to ship two of them? Give me a freaking break. You and your per item shipping can go to hell.

I agree with Triumph. Many a time I have stopped my order short at Newegg's site after finding out how much their ridiculous per item shipping had added up.

Yeah, I just ordered two keyboards that combined totaled $12.50. Want so know what "Fedex Saver" shipping was? ?$11.75. WTF exactly am I "saving", Newegg?

Edit: Is there an AT Newegg rep that we could voice our concerns to?

Yeah their shipping can be a little over the top, but NewEgg is about as good as it gets. If you ordered the past few days then your orders were probably slowed down by the massive number of the DFI, Neo4, etc motherboards they are trying to ship out. I can only imagine how many they have sold in the past few days.

I find it easier to search for an item on Newegg. You can sort by chip, size, etc rather than looking at a million things. R

same here.

I've always had great service from the egg. I've ordered the parts for my last 2 computers from them. Fast shipping and very competitive prices.

haha, I remember those days! i kinda miss catalogues, they were so great for thumbing through while sitting on the john, and drooling over all the items you wanted. browsing online just isn't the same as thumbing through a catalogue in front of you.
