7850 2GB isn't worth $60-70 more. Granted, there are some cheap ones like HIS 7850 for $220 AR, but it's a single fan card.

I'd say the choice lies in your experience/preference with MIRs. In which case I would have chosen the 6950 w/ rebate over the 480 until my experiences over the past year Screw MIRs.

480 still has slight performance advantage while the 6950 has power/noise advantage.

The usual features to differentiate including multiple monitor support, 3D, etc. are not applicable as often since these are now value cards.

It's a no brainer. The framerates are nearly identical, but GTX480 consumes a lot more power and has a single fan cooler which also adds to the heat and noise. While that is an important difference on its own, it also means that 6950 2GB is more overclockable and can be crossfired with less concern for noise/heat and case cooling. And 6950 has more VRAM. It is easily a better pick even if the rebate doesn't go through for some reason.

yeah I dont get 191 either. Its late though, so maybe i'm missing something.

that's b/c the base price has gone up since the OP created this tread...though its still the better deal @ $210 shipped than the GTX 480 for the same price...
