No clue where to post this but why did half my order ship via fedex in Tennessee and the other half via UPS in California?

Because NewEgg has few warehouses around the country and Not all items are stocked or available in all of them. Thus items can be sent from different locations.

AS the other person said, it's a logistics thing. Not every warehouse contains the exact same inventory and some don't have certain items that other ones do at some given time. As far as shipping goes, who knows why they used different shipping services, but both packages should come around the same day (note I said SHOULD)

Perhaps because some of the items were in Tennessee and some were in California, and due to cost/speed/convenience one shipping company was picked over the other?

I live in California and I get lucky because everything has came from CA so far. I ordered 4 items Sunday night and it arrived this morning. Gotta love when that happens.

NewEgg is based in CA and it biggest overall inventory is there.

Lucky to live in and around NJ so I get single day delivery times... but being in Philly, no sales tax from Newegg.

Yeah, it's kind of quirky the way things are shipped.

I placed an order on Wednesday for the parts for a new DIY NAS. I took advantage of the Shoprunner 2-day shipping via FedEX..... or so I thought. All one order, all of them through NewEgg, not marketplace vendors. By the end of the day, here's how my order shipped out.

CPU,MB,HDDs,Cables, etc. - City of Industry, CA via 2-day FedEx est. delivery 3-15
Case - Baldwin Park, CA via UPS Ground est. delivery 3-18
Memory - Sacramento, CA via 2-Day UPS est. delivery 3-15
4-pack Case Fans - Somewhere in Tennessee via UPS Ground est. delivery 3-18

Not a big deal. Just had to roll my eyes. They did get everything in the pipeline within a couple of hours, except the case fans didn't get shipped till the next day. It looks like the Memory (Crucial ECC) is being drop shipped and the case appears to be the same. I'v never seen those origin locations from NewEgg before.

Last time I ordered from Newegg, it took 7 days to get my processor.
