Before I begin, I'd like to make clear I'm not affiliated with Newegg in any way.
Story:
I recently built a new computer. Phenom II 550, 4890, 2 GB of cheap ram. 2 GB doesn't cut it for virtual machines, ordered another 2 GB stick of the same family, Rendition by Crucial PC2 6400.
Accidentally ordered this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820148233
Instead of this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820148235
Yeah, accidentally laptop RAM instead of desktop RAM.
I called Newegg, said that I didn't even open the package and would like to just return the one I have and order the desktop counterpart.
The lady on the phone told me she is going to credit my account the money for the RAM and I don't have to bother sending it back in...just order the new one.
Anyone else have an experience like this? How can they afford to let me to keep it? I mean, I'm not complaining, I have an M1330 that this is going straight into, but wow.
Um, Newegg FTW.
