So I've been here on AT and ATOT now for almost 11 years now. I have a whole max of 5945 posts with this one. I check ATOT every single day and glean tons of funny and useful info here. Who else is like me? Anyone else register lately and have thousand of posts in a short period of time?? Very Curious. What keeps you around? Why do you keep on posting?

I've been here like a year and a half and have around 3500 posts. I admit it is pathetic. Thankfully 90% or more of my posts are out of boredom while working. When I'm home I'm too busy and have more important things to do. Even still 3500 posts is pathetic.

I had around 8000 posts at the end of 2006 (over the summer I worked up to maybe 50-100ppd, neffing like a maniac at work in the glory days of ATOT) and got my lifer post sometime early 2008. I've been posting very very slowly since then.

Been here 6 years and have less than 3k posts. I stay because of the hilarity that ensues in some of these threads. The most recent example was the day when everyone was doing sexual threads in OT that got ridiculously out of hand and then the mods came in and locked them all. I was on the ground laughing at some of those threads. Then you get the retarded posts from certain members that makes the blood boil. I've gotten a lot of great info out of this place since I joined and I look forward to posting for years to come. I just need another 18yrs to make lifer.

Every once in a while, I consider getting together with a few mods, over a few beers, and subtracting from people's post counts the number of posts they've made in the official neffing thread. It'd only take 20 minutes or so; I could probably even make it a somewhat automatic process.

Just limit the number of post/member to like 10 a day. That will reduce the useless post from some members. After that it's like 10 cents/post via PayPal, AnandTech will make a little change.
