Newly built comp not posting

I just got done building a comp and I'm not getting anything to post on the screen. When I power it on, everything turns on but I'm not getting beeps from the mobo. Any idea what the problem/s might be?

Config:
Asus P5K-E Wifi
Intel Q6600 G0 with TRUE-120
Crucial Ballistix 2x1gb PC2-6400
WD Caviar 500gb
eVGA 8800GTS 512MB (G92)
Corsair 520hx

Have you connected both power cables to the mobo?

makes sure all the power connectors are snug for the mobo 24pin main, 4(8)pin 12v rail, pciex vide card power. if still no joy, unplug all the cords and test the PSU manually with a multimeter.

Yeah, I just double-checked all the connections right now to make sure nothing was loose. The green light on the mobo is on, but it won't post.

After a little searching online, it looks like the problem could be my ram. The P5K-E seems to be picky with the voltages and considering the Ballistix are 2.2v and the mobo's default is 1.8v, it's known to cause the exact problem I'm talking about. Gonna find some cheap ram and try swapping them out.

Than i'll use my Stock answer: Disconnect power. Reseat CPU and power cables, remove everything else. Check jumpers. Connect only power button. Remove 3V battery and short-circuit the contacts. Press power button. Replace battery. Add one stick of working memory into 1st slot (closest to the CPU). Install graphics (use onboard). Try to boot.

I have a P5K, didn't have an issue with my Ballistix, just an FYI...hope it is your issue.

Well, I don't have any compatible cheap ram laying around here so I couldn't try the swapping out the ram method. I tried booting with no ram, but still no beeps. It should beep indicating that there's no ram installed...

Also tried booting with one stick of ram... still nothing.

it probably is the ram. try getting some cheap crucial 1.8v ram to get to your bios so you can mess with voltages

any old computer you could borrow ram from?

Not atm. I'm going to have to go over to a friend's to do some cross-checking since I don't have any spare computer parts.

That right there is a clue, pull VGA and CPU and see if symptom changes. May be a bad board or PSU
