Wait... so the unlimited is 50% off or do you just get amount of GB + 50% of that GB?

It is %50 off the prices they show. so the 8 connection Unlimited GB plan that is normally $17.99 a month is $8.99 a month. It is billed monthly and you have the discount until you cancel you account.

Any reviews from anyone?

From the front page:
"The coupon is good for the life of your account but the coupon can only be used on March 1st, 2009."

It looks like they only offer SSL for European accounts.... so it's kind of a moot point.

That said, 8 connections and unlimited downloads for $9/mo is excellent.

Hmm. This seems pretty good. I currently use the pay by GB plan on Astraweb since I don't dl much, but they also offer Unlimited/20 for $15/mo which does include SSL. More connections on the Astraweb one, but I don't really see what the point of having that many is. I don't think I even use 8 currently.

Edit: I guess if you wanted SSL that'd be $11.50 here.

I personally use Easynews and they are pretty good. Nice web search so you don't have to use a reader. An auto-unrar so you can just get one file rather than multiple files. The plan I am on is:
Easynews Classic: $9.98 for 20 Gigabytes or 30 days, which ever comes first and up to 143 days of retention.

Am torn whether to switch as they have been great so far... Would like to hear some more soon from some users of NewsDemon.

Canceled my Easynews account... reluctantly too as they have been great.

Excellent deal, too bad I missed it. I just went there at around 12:30 and just as I was trying to sign up they updated the page and removed the deal.

I may just stick with this since I don't have to set up a new account and is 50 cents cheaper. =p
Or.......... I just won't do anything. Didn't realize I still have 80gb on my account.

I believe that's the best deal right now. I have unlimited account with usenetserver, but astraweb is couple of bucks cheaper, guaranteed price and they announced they will be raising retention to >200days. If this promo is still alive when my 3-month subscription to usenetserver expires I think I'll give astraweb a try.
