this isn't an anonymous service is it? Then why not just use the newsbins server from your ISP? Can anyone fill us in on how this newsbinz works, I am afraid of downloading from it.

Its just an indexing site, they don't store anything there and you don't really download anything directly, except for the .nzb files that you import into your newsreader. Very useful though, as it takes forever to download headers in some of the binary groups, so this saves a ton of time.
With the free account you can see everything, but you can't download the .nzb, meaning you still would have to manually go and download headers for the group that had the files you wanted, then download them. With the premium service, you never have to download headers again.

EDIT: I guess I'm just a little confused on how this works? I have used a newserver b4 but dont understand why the headers/downloads aren't linked to the same place w/ Newsbinz

Cool, thanks guys. That slyck is a good place, I remember reading about par files there before. Its unfortunate the last DL I had was a corrupted ISO off of a bin. I am sure that Newsbinz has a nice retension, but my question remains... why not just use your own ISP server? Well I am busy reading

You do use your own ISP server to download the actual files, or a premium service. Newzbin just lets you download the .nzb, which is basically just a list of individual posts that make up the files. You import that into your newsreader, then it goes and uses that to grab the files off your ISP or premium newsprovider.
