The problem with Chicago is it is very expensive to get hotel rooms. I am willing to go though if thats where we decide to have it. Is anyone in that area that could find someplace decent to setup a lan party?

U.S....oh, guess if you include Alaska and Hawaii, it puts you in North Dakota...forget it.

Chicago?!? You knock five years off of your life just going there. Just drive 30 min south, and look back at 0730, the awesome massive black cloud that starts to rise over the city is ominous! Take your Visine, you'll need it when after a few hours your eyes make you feel like you have been up all night, unless you live there.

Read the tourists book on the lake, you'll see that it recommends eating only one fish from it a year, as more than that exceeds safety levels for multiple poisons.

A note about the map, if you are looking for specific member, click the Zoom Goto button (the one with the arrow) then select "member", then type in the first few characters of the name, and change the zoom width to a number such as 500. This will zoom you in to that members location!

St. Loius or Kansas City work for me, my mom and brother live in K.C.

Also, I'm planning on going to a family reunion on Sunday, July 8th, I will be just Northeast of Dallas,Tx, around the Farmersville area. I wonder if they would mind me popping out for a LAN party on Saturday if we could put one together in the Dallas area?

The only reason why I say Chicago is there is a lot of places that we could have it. I don't live there personaly. But think about it. More places = more places to get a room. And if we split up the costs for rooms it would be cheaper....
For most of us. I don't think it would be that far.....

If you look at those statistics about the fish. You will find that it includes the whole fish. Now if you know anything about fish, there isn't any poisons in the meat. But if you eat the whole fish, then you would have a problem. But because some race's eat the whole fish, they have to include it in the stats. I am not tring to make you look bad. I am just tring to clear up the misunderstandings.... You are right about the fish being contaminated. But the whole truth is..... Unless you eat the whole fish, You are ok.

I drove about 15 hours just to go to the first one in Clear Lake, IA. I'm not looking for a road trip like that again. Not unless I get a new car.

How about Souix Falls, SD - we could assimilate Gateway Computers. Cow boxes that come with the little cow icon in the taskbar.

Lincoln or Omaha, NE would also be about at my limit for drive time. If you guys get too far east and south, I might be better off going up to Calgary to meet up with Mika or west towards Coeur d'Alene, ID and mechBgon in Spokane, WA.

How 'bout meeting up in Deadwood, SD? We could do some gambeling, gaming, and have a kick butt time.

P.S. Jarhead, The geographical center of North America is in a little town on Highway 2 called Rugby, ND. I'm sure they'd love it if we'd take over the town.
