I'm glad that is one of the many games that I just don't care for.
I'm with you

You'll get that either way. Mostly with CoD though. It's kind of unavoidable unless you only play with friends.
I wonder if either of the consoles will support mouse input for FPS? That's always been my biggest hangup on gaming with consoles.

If you want keyboard and mouse, use a PC for gaming. If you want to play on consoles, learn the control scheme. I'm sure you can understand that by giving everyone the same controls, you're putting people on equal footing.
The trouble is that its an inferior control scheme. Its not just for FPS either. Other games like RTS are better. UI that doesn't require all sorts of clicks to do anything is easier to design, etc, etc. I always understood the reason they didn't support it was they wanted to distance themselves from the perception of being a PC. I understand the level playing field, but that only makes sense if people are hacking in mice (check) or playing cross platform vs pc (check, and failed due to the differences) If every console gamer can just hook up a $10usb mouse there isn't a balance issue. They just are choosing to handicap themselves.

PS4

Hahaha, Wii U option
Thats so cute
At least Wii U will actually have some games this holiday season, unlike PS4 and Xbone
And how long has the WiiU been out yet it still don't have a decent catalog of games? Sorry but Nintendo waited too long and gave up its large head start it had. Call me when a new Metroid or Zelda comes out, not an HD remake.
I think a lot of people are being short sighted by focusing on the situation on launch day rather than looking at which console will have the advantage over the entire dev cycle. This is the same argument that was used against the PS3 at launch and because of pricing, loss of Linux & backward compatability etc and by the end of the cycle (now) the PS3 pretty much caught up.
There's nothing to be short-sighted about here. 360 had a head start from PS3, and PS3 launched at a higher price point. That's the only reason it took a while for it to catch up, but the PS3 actually had massive benefits for that premium price. Xbox1 has nothing over the PS4, in face the PS4 will still have better hardware again only this time it will be cheaper. Sony hit Microsoft with a haymaker before round 1 even started. I'm honestly worried about how lopsided this fight is because it will probably mean PS4 shortages for a long time.
I will agree to disagree. I think MS is looking at what the gaming/home entertainment climate will be when the PS4/X-Bone cycle is mature. As tablets and phones continue to increase in popularity things like SmartGlass which basically integrates to any andriod device (wanna talk install base between android and the Vita?) will have far more integration with X-Bone features IMO than 'wow I can stream my PS4 game to my Vita!' Just about everything can game now and as APU's and SOC become more popular and their install bases increase I see that as playing more towards MS vision of what they want the X-Bone to be than the PS4 "we are the gaming rig" mantra. I know it is not fashionable to say anything nice about the X-Bone, but I don't really care. It might be taking a beating in the press, but we'll see where the roadmap takes us in the full dev cycle. Personally I am far more worried about the future of sytems like the Ouya and Android powered consoles over a 10 year cycle...
There was some game stuff showed off during E3 from devs on the PS4 where it made use of tablets too. This isn't some kind of revolutionary or exclusive idea to one console or another.
Not only that, but I don't think enough people honestly GAF about that 'feature'. It's basically worthless and adds nothing.
