Yes, because the oil companies are in control of Toyota and every other automobile manufacturer in the world.

You know what they say about if it sounds too good to be true....

Nonetheless, if it is true, this car could become quite impressive.

is this: Downhill, after engine shutoff, coasting?

cuz i can get 99 mpg in the Tahoe doing that.

Lithiom ion batteries have about 2x the storage capacity of nimh, so that would effectivly double the battery only range.

Is the hybrid tahoe going to use nimh or lithium ion?

But that's only improving the storage capacity of the batteries. They still need to be charged by burning fuel, and I'm wondering how they're burning that fuel more efficiently to get the improved mpg.

Remember though that the batteries are also charged through means like regenerative braking... Which still isn't free energy, but it is free energy in the sense that it would be wasted in any other automobile.

They really don't give us any information, other than
"The whole electrical system has been redesigned to improve economy"

Cause they are a British show.

Actually we've only just started using miles as measurement. Before that we used cups of Tea laid side by side. London is 48239 S.C.O.T.* from Birmingham.

No, when all cars get 4x the gas mileage, they'll just charge 4x as much for gas.

That is the most retarded statement EVER.

no, it's not. you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Since the gauges only read what you're getting right at that moment, you can skew it. I've been in a friends 325, and the gauge said he was getting 67 mpg, but we were coasting, going downhill, with a heavy tailwind

74 if you ride like an absolute granny...

I get about 50 mpg from my 2005 Ninja 250...but then again it sees 10,000RPM quite frequently..

Yes, because when they're charging $12 per gallon at the pump no one will start to migrate toward alternative fuel.
