Next generation Canon color ink jet printer?

In a thread recently, a post referred to a new Canon printer (ink jet) that was not yet released but soon would be that was faster and better than the current generation (i850). Does anyone know the name or model name of this new Canon printer? Does anyone have a release date?

There is an i950 that has been released in Japan. No announcement has been made from Canon as to the release in the US. Many people expect that it will be but no one really has a date yet. There has been some information on it at the dpreview printer forums.

Well the i series so far are the same engines as the S series were, with a new case design. I'd expect an i8xx to be not much different from today's S8xx.

There are posted comparisons of the S900 to the i850 that indicate nearly equal photo quality and photo speed, but the i850 was substantially faster in printing text. Just an addendum.
