More on pricing for both devices. N9 looks set at $399 - but the link claims these are european prices making it 399 Euros. That seems nuts to me. I'll believe $399 for the 16GB version though.

Yes, if you assume their assumptions (*shudder*) are correct, pricing leaks are as leaked (*shudder*).

Ouch. I was expecting close to $500 for the Nexus 6, but if it goes past $600 I might just buy a Moto X2 instead.

I like the 32gb base though.

nice troll. you almost had me.

As a previous nexus 4 and current nexus 5 owner, and someone that tries to sell nexus to all my friends and family, I'm not trolling. 6 inches is awfully big for a phone. I think it would be great as an option for some people but for me.. I'm now automatically kicked out of the nexus family of owners because it's a non starter. It sucks big time

On the flip side, large phone users like myself are finally getting the chance to buy a Nexus phablet. I couldn't be happier.

Starting next year I think Google should offer two models, a phablet and a smaller phone. Identical specs, just a size difference.

These prices make me cry.

Yeah, I have to admit that was a letdown. Especially when the first rumored prices were sub-$500. Suddenly the Moto X2 is back in the mix for me, as a big appeal of the Nexus is the hardware value.

In fact, I was wondering that all along- how was Moto letting Google sell a bigger and better (qHD screen, better SoC and bigger battery) Moto X 2 for less than the X2? I guess I knew the answer but just didn't want to admit it.

If the 64GB Nexus 6 is $550 or cheaper I going to pull the trigger immediately. Too much more than that and I will wait for reviews and maybe see what Black Friday deal pops up for the Moto X 2.

I can also see the Nexus 5 sticking around as the go-to answer for people bitching about the Nexus 6 costing so much.

I'm betting on $600 for 32GB and $650-700 for 64GB.

I thought the nexus line was supposed to be cheap and high quality to combat contracts and spread Android?

Why am I buying a $600 nexus phablet thats the same as every other phablet on the market? Because it gets faster updates?

Nexus line is there to provide a reference model for developers to work on and design for.

Why are you complaining about a phone's price when the true price hasn't been revealed yet? At least wait until the actual unveiling and see if it really will be ~$600.

Also for what it's worth, even if the Note 4 and the Nexus 6 were the exact same price, I'd go Nexus.

Yeah it wasn't until LG started making them that Nexus became known for the hardware value. Maybe that was just an LG thing, and we got spoiled because they made two in a row.

And agree 6 inches is too much for some people. Honestly the SoC's have stagnated a little since the 800 last year in the Nexus 5. It wouldn't surprise me if that phone hangs around another year for $100 less, and the Nexus 7 gets another half year or so.

There's no firm rule. People keep defining what the Nexus is based on their justifications for the specs of the device including price. It was once a dev phone. Then it was a cheap phone. So what is it? The past 2 were cheap, but the first 3 were not. Nothing's set in stone.

The 16GB Nexus 5 is all out of stock on Google Play. Perhaps the new base will become 32GB with a price cut to match the current 16GB model. Maybe Google will introduce a 64GB Nexus 5 as well. This is all assuming the N5 is sticking around instead of being phased out.

I think we just all WANT it to be cheap. Part of that is the fact that not only Google is pushing value this year. You have the One Plus One, and with the massive $200 trade-in the Note 4 is effectively a $600-ish phone too.

If the Nexus 6 hits at $600 it will be cool for the segment that likes the Nexuses and wants a phablet. If it hits at $500 it will be cool for just anyone who wants a big phone, even maybe some iPhone 6 Plus customers.

Honestly $600 is risky. Some people will already be unhappy about the size. Make it too expensive too and there will be a negative press, "too big, too much."

The only reason I bought the Nexus 5 earlier this year was because it was so cheap brand new. I mean, there were other things about the phone that intrigued me but the price was a huge factor in my purchase. I'm guessing the same was true for many others.

Simply for sheer size alone I don't expect the N6 to be $350 off-contract. But it's a shame if the days of buying a new Nexus for $300-$400 are officially over moving forward. We'll know soon enough.

The OnePlus One is what, $299 and $349, and it has a large screen. That's an amazing off-contract price for a phone that is pretty solid. Sure, there were hardware faults from cutting costs, but it was impressive how they got that device to that price. The Nexus device having an enormous screen and a low price is quite feasible if Google is going to subsidize it like every other Nexus. We'll see what happens.

Pricing will leak soon I'm sure. Very interested in the Nexus Player. Hopefully it fixes what the chromecast buggered up.

Yeah it seems like a Chromebox used as a HTPC, which is what I have been advocating for months.

Intel inside on that is VERY interesting.
