Hey people, I have already changed my ram 3 times, but Im still not happy (now-a-days im using the signature ones), the reason is because now I see that I don't accept anything slower than 245mhz 2-2-2-11 1T performance. The system is the signature (and my board can supply a max of 3.05 volts vdimm), and I would preffer not having to buy the OCZ DDR BOOSTER, but if it's impossible to get what I want without then I will buy. That's what I want. So, after a lot of reading I have made a list and I will buy one of those soon, but I have some question that only people who have tested them can answer:

1) Is it worth to expend the extra bucks buying the redline PC4000 and not the PC3500 for what I want, I mean, the PC3500 is not 100% sure to overclock as good as the PC4000?

2) this GSKILL: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820231013 some people reviewd it in newegg saying it could reach 250mhz 2-2-2-11 with like 3 volts, anybody can confirm this? What chips does it uses?

3) In the OCZ area, is it necessary to get the PC4000 (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820227206) or the PC3200 Gold (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820227211) that people say is using the BH-UTT chips is better for what I want?

Finally, I plan moving to A64 in the begin of 2006, so my question is: the memory I choose here, will be as good in the A64 arena? Since what I want is 245mhz 2-2-2-11 1T (or CPC ON in NF7-S) I believe that it will be excelent in an A64 system if it can mantain the same speed/latency! But I dont know much about A64.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Honestly, the OCZ VX is what your looking for, DDR500 at 2-2-2 with ~3.3 volts... Needs a booster but if that's what you want.

If memory can hit 245 2-2-2-5 with only 3.05 volts, it would be godly.................. Even 3.1 is a stretch for 240....

There is an incredibly easy vDIMM mod for the NF7-S if you are willing to do so. It was the first mod I did to my mobo and allowed me to run 3.3v to the RAM. The only things you need are a short length of wire, solder, and a soldering iron.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47015 is how to do it (or so claimed somewhere else I saw, XS was hacked recently and is currently down)
Also, don't expect to be able to do that on your NF7-S unless you can already do 245 CPC on with other RAM.

That's a good solution, but then wich memory you think I should go with the mod, the 4000 VX? Well, as far as I know, the VX and Redline are using CH-UTT chips, wouldn't it be better to get a BH-UTT chip because I have limited voltage?

I've read over at nForcersHQ peeps are (or have) reported problems with PC4000 being compatible our mobo. See the sticky on NONcompatible ram. So might wanna be careful.

Why the obsession with cas2.0 at high FSB. I used top end cas 2.0 just to be sure I could reach a high FSB at 2.5.

1. Yes, either get the Mushkin Redline PC4000 or OCZ Gold VC PC4000.
2. Dunno about that G.Skill.. But if you want quality overclocking G.Skill, you want the PC4400 or PC4800. They'll be Samsung TCCD most likely so they won't be able to hold low latencies but they will give you major bandwidth at <3.0V.
3. You don't need PC4000 memory.. You want UTT chips because in general they like high voltage and they hit 240-250MHz @ 2-2-2-8 fairly easily with 3.2V+

So you think OCZ PC3200 http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820227211 will reach 250 2-2-2-11? if so, then how further will the VX 4000 go?

ok but I couldn't find anywhere in it saying that OCZ 4000 VX was not compatible.
