Hey my crystal ball is out for cleaning and thus I certainly could be mistaken.
If you include "winning more than last season" I don't doubt they will do that which may result in making the playoffs, however this is the NY Jets we're talking about here.... get a grip.
The Jets running game is meh, their O-line is meh, their receivers are meh, the coaching staff is meh .... oh and they have Aaron Rodgers. But I'm wrong to not suddenly think they'll be a strong team in the AFC?
That defense better not back-slide at all.
Breece Hall was tearing up the joint until his ACL sprain. Garrett Wilson posted 1000+ yards as a rookie.
It's not like Rodgers needs even two 1000 yard receivers, just one.
They did beat Buffalo last year too...somehow. Even in the loss, they held the Bills to 20 points, and given how potent the Bills were in 2022, that's still an accomplishment.
I don't expect the Jets to compare to Mahomes or Lord Burrow...but they can certainly stir up the AFC East; definitely not Super Bowl contender. They should be the preseason choice for 2nd place, as Tua has shown some weakness when the middle of the field is taken away from him and his brain might become mush if he gets another concussion.
Favre failed in part because he had to learn a new language, in essence. Rodgers is getting the GB head coach's brother, Mike as the offensive coordinator. And "The Therapist"(Nathaniel Hackett) is onboard with the Jets as well.
