Upon further reflection I think I still have to give Mahomes the edge over Allen. (ranking Brady's ability @ QB NOW anywhere near either one is a complete joke btw)
Not for any physical reasons I actually think Allen is the (slightly) better athlete.
The difference is in their composure-levels when the game is on the line... Mahomes is a hair better at "keeping his cool".
There many stories related to Brady. Stories of him being banished for 40 days and 40 nights, with devil Bundchen tempting him to leave football.
He was presumed dead and nailed to the cross of divorce court, but in the city of his Angels, there were reports he has been resurrected and alive after a 4th quarter two-minute warning. Anyway, the totality of Allen's skillset basically does break the game and leaves defenses in an impossible conflict in which only Allen's own mistakes can stop Allen. But he does get sloppy in key moments. The Miami game was a win that was lost because he threw off his back foot and the ball fell short.
