Er, I get donkos fans are kinda fucked in the head shit for brains, but why would they have an issue with McDaniels fucking the Raiders?
For not airing dirty laundry they sure did a shit job. Seattle literally spent years trying to trade him. I can't think of a situation even remotely close where a team made it very blatantly obvious they wanted to move on from a player. Its only Denver's fault they were goddamn dumb enough to make the trade they did, but they were desperate. But they're also stupid for thinking their roster was more talented than it actually is and that Wilson was gonna help them to compete.
And while his play fell off a lot, this isn't all on him. Denver's offensive woes didn't start with him and their new coach (whom they got because they were trying to suck A-aron "I'm vaxxed via telephathy of molecules bro" Rodgers's dick) and their idiotic ownership and Big Teeth "couldn't win a Super Bowl til Terrell Davis" President are to blame for that.
Lots of that is similar to complaints about Mahomes and the argument basically just boils down to "once he stops being good then obviously he'll be playing bad" like you predicted this all along. Wilson was underrated for years. I actually have a hunch he's not done and has been playing injured as well as in a uniquely shit situation. Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping that organization continues to be a laughingstock level fuck up because fuck them, but I wouldn't bet on Wilson being done just yet. Honestly I'd love for them to make some rash decision and send him to another team (whilst being stuck paying for a good portion of his contract) and watch him flourish. I bet the Jets would actually rather wish they had him right now for instance.
I actually like your Star Wars analogy because the Pey-pey shit was the NFL gifting the donkos just like they did at the end of Elway's career (which literally included them getting caught playing with cooking oil on their jerseys in the playoffs - they were made to change at halftime but otherwise face no consequences for it), so it was more like the 3rd time they tried going for the magic.
man, I was so angry when Russell went to Denver because...fuck this shit I can't pull for Denver. FML.
All of my friends felt the same way, even the one that spent years in Denver and found himself on the fan-side of that organization a few years ago. We're mostly WFT people, which was I think Russell's wife's preferred team, but that was also the worst place in our our minds, lol. ....but damn, he probably would have been better off in Washington (no one knew that fucking Dan Snyder would actually be on the outs this season).
All of that said, it's clear he's been on the decline with his primary skillset, but I agree that he could still thrive in an organization that is setup to work with him, where he is now. I honestly haven't watched a single Denver game this year because they haven't been on TV here for games that I have been able to watch.
I think the only reason one of the NY teams didn't pick him up or even consider it (I think the area both of them want to be), is obligation to their young QBs. ....that seems to have changed
very quickly with the Jets.
At least I can finally go back to my regularly-scheduled program of hating Pete Carroll and wishing zero success on him without any reservations.
