Mac Jones is 2-8 when his defense allows 14 points or more.

Are you suggesting he can't win in a shootout? Cause, based on the weapons at his disposal and the suspect o-line, I'd certainly agree...

Well New England is better than the Jets at least so that's something! (not a whole lot though)

And the NFC East is now a total crap-shoot.... with emphasis on the "crap"! (Prescott isn't very good even healthy but without him Dallas has nothing on offense)

I am not even sure we're better than the Jets. We might be just about even with them at this point.

As for Dallas... I almost feel bad for them... and then I remember it's Dallas and I laugh at their misery.... (going to the MNF game in 2 weeks, so that just got much more interesting as my wife is a huge Giants fan)

Belichick is trying his hardest to beat the Jets at the one thing he hasn't yet: tanking. Matt Patricia and Joe Judge....hahaha tank gods they are. It will be a struggle for the Pats to even score 10 a game. And their schedule is a meat grinder except for the Jets and maybe the Lions, but the Lions play tough. .

Stillers next week
Rat birds the following
Packers the one after that.

14 points is not remotely close to a shootout.

Fair enough. The offense is going to be a struggle all year. High priced WR's is not something the Patriots do....

The Lions will beat them. Swift is so incredibly underrated just because of where he plays. Their O-Line is good and St. Brown finally gives them a #1 WR. If we can win 4 games this year, i'll be shocked.

The Wentz experience remains as it always has been since Foles stole his mojo. Carson is THE bipolar mediocrity.

--------------------------------------------------
The AFC: Keeping up with the Joneses. Even some of the bad teams are tough with good players. With the the exception of the two tank gods in the East.
The NFC: Cannibalizing each other on an isolated island with not much resources. Even some of the good teams just suck when watching them.

I am in a suicide pool with 146 people...just pick the winner of one game with no spread. 78 people were knocked out yesterday in Week 1 (big knockouts: 20 took the Titans, 19 took the Bengals, 19 took the Colts (ties don't count as a wins), 11 took the Niners)...

Thankfully I picked the Ravens

Speaking of losing games, the Lions played hard all game long but couldn't stop Hurts continually when it mattered.

Can't say he wouldn't get booed in NY too but it would be for his performance under center not for going down injured. (again)

You Cow-Pie fans miss Tony Romo yet?

I've never understood what people think they see in Prescott as a QB.

Don't you mean Aikman?

Looks like Wilson should have stayed put... Denver sucks. (especially that incompetent head coach)

Russ wasn't even allowed to cook on 4th down.
I don't know if they have an algorithm/chart that made that decision. But in real time, I couldn't believe they'd choose to kick a 64 yard FG. IIRC the conversion rate for 4th and 5 is a bit under 50%. With all their timeouts and 45 seconds on the clock, they had plenty of time to get into FG range if they could just convert on 4th down.

Instead the new HC chose an option that I believe is at best 15%. The only plausible explanation I can find is that the kicker did have enough boot.

And neither do the Broncos.

To be fair if this game is in Denver they most likely win it.
They should have won, period. With 3 goal line chances in the 2nd half, they produced 3 points. Although Geno Smith had a very solid first half, the Seahawks were clearly the inferior team. The Broncos failed at execution and IIRC some bad penalties played a factor too.

No doubt about it the Broncos "on paper" were the vastly superior team.... in fact losing to ANY NFL team foolish enough to bank on starting Geno Smith is a huge embarrassment.

And how about those "contenders" in Cincinnati rotfl? Burrow may well be a "pretty good" NFL QB but that team overall isn't looking very good at all.

I'm pretty sure last year will turn out to be be the closest he ever gets to a ring in the NFL (just like Boomer Esiason's "one and done") unless he gets traded away from the Bungels.

EDIT: And YES Boomer ultimately got traded but it was to freaking Gang-Green which was actually a downgrade!

Overreacting just a tad?

I mean, the Denver RBs having butterfingers at the goal line was the biggest reason why the score wasn't at least 22-17 in favor of the donkeys.

Nope .... although it IS only week #2.

Denver's repeated completely inept play was 75% of the reason they lost and the remaining 25% was "we'll show him!" directed at Wilson. (right down to the dumba$$ Denver head coach forgetting he wasn't in the thin air of Denver on that 64-yard FG try)

Your doubt of Lord Burrow is laughable.

He's not as good as you and some others believe (or anywhere close to Josh Allen for that matter) BUT right now my well-founded "doubt" is in the Bungal organization not him.

He has a better shot @ some further success in Cincinnati then say with the Jets or the Jaguars but only a little bit better.... the Steelers are flat-out BAD this year and you saw what happened yesterday. IN Cincinnati too!

I definitely think you're underestimating Burrow.
