Talking smack only makes one appear to be a sore loser and the only way to gain ACTUAL credibility is by making the right calls in the majority of real NFL games.

Giants vs Vikings: On paper the Vikings SHOULD beat the snot out of Big Blue

You keep saying this, but I don't agree. I see the Vikings as the worse team despite their record, definitely a worse coach, and they have Cousins at QB. Three strikes, they're out.

The Vikings are arguably the flukiest and weakest top 2 team ever, notwithstanding the 2021 Titans who were a top seed LOL. I think it's a combo of he doesn't really like the Giants strength; and setting the bar low makes it easier to clear. At least on paper, the Giants have a better chance of winning than the Lions did in the season finale.

I'd be shocked if the Vikings make it to the NFC CG.

We COULD easily get the "garbage" Vikings/Cousins I completely agree and further I have no idea at all how to predict which will show up.

My Giants have actually been MORE consistent in many ways over the course of the season but especially on defense.

NY has a chance no doubt BUT I have to fall back on the Vikes 13-4 record PLUS home-field to make my final call despite the far weaker division. I still think MN wins this weekend.

*(but I'll be rooting HARD for "Twinkletoes" and the boys!)

The way the Bengals are playing I wouldn't be shocked at all if they go back to the Super Bowl.... I'm still narrowly picking KC.

I won't even be a little bit surprised if any out of the Bills, Chiefs or Bengals wins the AFC. (and most likely the Superbowl)

Way to go out on a limb there, one of the top 3 seeds (and AFC's elite teams by consensus) will make the Super Bowl. KC is not the best team in the NFL, but the first round bye gives them an advantage. However, if it's Chiefs vs. Bills in the AFC CG, that will be played in Atlanta.

I like Herbert a lot @ QB but I OTOH have serious questions about both lines endurance over 4 quarters. LA seems to wear down against "physical" teams.

That's getting personal and ironic considering my last post was all about football, and that tends to be the case throughout this thread. It really isn't personal and I'll make a point of not dunking on your football analysis going forward.

Although this sub-forum is originally named Off Topic, I mostly try to stay on topic in any given thread. It doesn't always happen, and I mostly save my barbs for P&N. "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

I'm rooting for the Chargers but right now they're over-hyped, and the Jags are being underestimated by the sportsbooks. Two teams that are peaking at the right time, but only one can advance.

SF may indeed finally have their own [young and good version of] Russell Wilson. I think they are salivating over the potential of a very successful, and rather cheap next ~3 seasons!

I actually don't see Purdy being shaky; a bit "green", yes. The last three and out was more of a great play by Muse(not the member here, lol) than hestiation.

Just to remind you guys how I mentioned before this is really just Seattle in SF at the end of the season (or vice versa, regardless of who is up that year), pretty much every season.

Buffalo over Miami remains my only confident lock for this week (Even a "healthy" Miami team. They just aren't that good this year)
