One day you'll get it right for that matchup, one day.Great game! I picked the Bungal's but I'm glad KC won.
Andy Reid vs the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Nice.

I thought that unnecessary roughness call on the Mahomes run that set up the field goal was bullshit. I think referees call that way too often. A defender is running 15-20 mph at the runner and hits him a foot or two OB. It's usually not like he was trying to hurt the guy, he was trying to get him OB to save some field position. You can't change your trajectory in 1/5th of a second when you're running full speed. You also can't be expected to know exactly where the sideline is when you are focused on the runner. The league should really look into the rules concerning those calls. If the defender is obviously malicious, that's one thing, but just because the contact is a foot or two beyond the sideline should not be enough to warrant a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down. That particular play did not IMO warrant that call. And it pretty much decided who's going to the SB.So.... who do you think Philly will be facing in two weeks?
I think it boils down to whether there was sufficient delay for the defender to think he wasn't surely out of bounds. I kinda understand how someone may have committed to an act and the "pull back" wasn't in time, but humans can also be very quick processors when it comes to split second decisions.I thought that unnecessary roughness call on the Mahomes run that set up the field goal was bullshit. Al Davis was a pioneer in giving voice and power to minorities. But I guess he was kind of an asshole. Also Dave Casper.
I was never a Raiders fan but Al Davis made me hate them.
He really said that? Link? That would be really dumb.In addition to being an Eagles fan so glad they beat the 49ers because of Nick Bosa. That guy is a class A jackass. He tweeted
“Philly is where the election was stolen from Trump”
Fuck him. Hey Nick, take your country redneck ass back home
It's oftentimes good business to turn a blind eye towards irrelevant features. But he was the boss and shoved out whatever he didn't want. And well, he had ideals...40 time mattered a lot .Al Davis was a pioneer in giving voice and power to minorities. But I guess he was kind of an asshole.

No, that was impossible.Going to be hard (but not impossible) to come back without a passing game
A Tweet I just saw: "Im not saying the refs got that late hit call wrong, but the refs are supposed to call the game, not decide the game. "Weird game. Weird calls
But you can make a decision and not be able to execute it. The watch on the Titanic saw it was headed for an iceberg but they couldn't change the course of the ship in time to miss it. Same principle.I think it boils down to whether there was sufficient delay for the defender to think he wasn't surely out of bounds. I kinda understand how someone may have committed to an act and the "pull back" wasn't in time, but humans can also be very quick processors when it comes to split second decisions.
The call was strictly made but the hit was definitely illegal and shoves when going at a high speed can cause injury, even if we ignore Mahomes already-present injury. It just looks light on TV, similar to slashes in hockey.
Joey got heckled pretty badly in the stands, too. Class act, both of them.In addition to being an Eagles fan so glad they beat the 49ers because of Nick Bosa. That guy is a class A jackass. He tweeted

The 49ers screwed themselves hard with penalties and they have nobody to blame but themselves.
Totally. That was one of the dumbest penalties I've ever seen. They should call that every time. There have been a lot of bone-headed roughing the passer calls this season but this was not one of them, and I think this was just an unnecessary roughness penalty anyway. You can't hit a guy when he's already got a foot out of bounds and have him fly 10 ft into almost the bench. That out of bounds shove in the back of Mahomes especially @ that critical moment of a playoff game has to be one of the stupidest moves I've ever seen in a playoff game.
It was 100% a blatant foul, had to be called and what's more WILL be called nearly every single time. The 49ers screwed themselves hard with penalties and they have nobody to blame but themselves.
As a life-long Steelers fan, I hate the Iggles...but having lived in NorCal for 25 years, during the Montana/Young years, I hate the 49ers more.
GO IGGLES!
Watching eagles fans cheer when someone gets injured is all I need to know about the fans.
If I don't like the result I often just turn off the TV and don't subject myself to my hated team's celebration antics.Fortunately, based on who is playing in that game, my Super Bowl weekend just freed up completely. I have no interest in watching either of those teams celebrate a win.

4th string QB, wasn't happening in any way shape or form. But I will say last few years O line always looks like hot dog shit in big games. We can run well all season, except for you know when the season is on the line or we need that critical less than 3 yards for a first.This. That game was frustrating to watch. Even if Purdy didn't go down or the Smith "catch" was reversed, Philly's D line was dominant. I don't think we could've done much better tbh. The Eagles were opportunistic and took advantage of the situation.
There are just as much trashy fans in every fanbase as there are in Philadelphia.
It was a clear penalty, and should be called every time. For good or bad, the NFL goes out of its way to protect QBs and this was a no-brainer (and even if it was a different offensive player than QB). The people complaining are those who think the refs should swallow their whistles at the end of games and let the players play. While that sounds fine in theory, you're left with debacles such as the infamous no PI call on the Rams vs Saints a few years ago. Ironically, although that led to PI becoming challenge-able; in practice challenging PIs didn't really pan out and was scrapped within a couple seasons.Totally. That guy's an idiot
