I find myself completely neutral wrt KC vs Philly. I need an irrational basis to root for one or the other. What offers ATOT?

Sometimes I don't know who I'm going to root for until the game gets going. I often think I shouldn't root for anybody, that it's reprehensible to do so. Complete neutrality is what commentators should aspire to, obviously. "Casual observers" maybe not so much.I find myself completely neutral wrt KC vs Philly. It's been a couple decades, but I saw fans do nasty shit when I sat in what was called the dog pound (especially when a certain PA team would visit).Yeah..... no.
(fwiw Raiders fans in Oakland DID take the obnoxious prize!)

Yeah, I thought that looked weird. Had to wonder too, girl or boy, I assumed girl, I guess the bow is the giveaway.Yeah but the red bow!

Even if you don't have a team in the NFC East and dislike the Eagles naturally - their fans are so trashy, and so is their coach, they are easy to root against. And Mahomes is just a joy to watch and seems like a good dude, so does Hurts, but fuck their fans and their coach. The fans were throwing eggs at the niner team bus and the niners. No class trash. Easy to root for KC.
Not sure what team you vote for, but 49'ers have PLENTY of bad fan behavior over the years. Also, their radio hosts came to Philly, talked trash as guests on a Philadelphia sports radio station, which was basically daring the fans to heckle them, and then bitched like little girls when it happened.
I've personally been at games, and when you wear the opposing teams jersey, expect to get heckled. And I've seen plenty of that. It's OK to give some trash talk back. I've never seen anything go beyond heckling when it's just sports related trash talk. I have seen it elevate when the opposing fan starts getting full of himself, and makes personal attacks and things of that nature. I went to an Eagles game this year between Philly and Dallas. Saw Cowboys fans, saw them get heckled and even trash talked them myself, but not in any mean spirited or personal fashion, and went about my business. Nothing happened to them. And afterwards they were cool about it.
That said, I never condone violence. And the people throwing eggs are not indicative of the fanbase as a whole, just like how a few idiots fighting at 49'ers games are not indicative of that fanbase as a whole. The reason Philly incidences get raised to such a level is because of bad reputation at this point.
There are a lot of examples of other fanbases with terrible behavior. There are only a handful of cities that can claim little to no incidences of fan behavior. Stuff like pushing someone off a pedestrian bridge (which could have killed the unfortunate victim), or fights with people in a coma has happened at other stadiums.

Philly does historically have the worse fans, they turn on their teams INSTANTLY, hell they also get the "we threw snow balls as Santa, cuz fuck that jolly fat ass" mantle.of course every city has its bad fans - but as far as the ratio of bad bans and shitty behavior, Philly is very near the top consistently.
And yes, I already stated it, seems like in the biggest games they are no shows. This off season is going to be a mess, like 23-25 players are free agents and Bosa is going to get a fat contract.Riddle me this, SanFran, Lynch and Shanahan:
You went through 4 quarterbacks and in most of the last 1/2 of the last game you couldn't find a player who could throw a spiral more than 5 yards. Your offensive line looks to be your weakness, no?
Raiders fans were notorious for doing things like throwing batteries at fans of opposing teams. It was nearly suicide to wear the gear of an opposing team to an Oakland Raiders game.
I think if you're wearing a rivalry jersey in Philly (mutts, cowgirls, gnats) you're asking for trouble. But with that said my neighbor is a die hard 9ers fan and went with his family, 10 yr old son and 22 yr old daughter to the nfc championship game without any issues. They were decked out too.Evidently @akugami has never actually been to a sporting event in Philly? (or Oakland for that matter lol)
I've been to Mets/Phillies and Giants/Eagles road games and all I can say is if you wear your NY gear it's best to keep a LOW profile AND to not have any team bumper stickers on your parked car unless you want to find 4x flat tires upon return! (even in so-called "secure" parking)
I've also been to road games in Boston & Foxboro, Miami, Houston, St Louis, Phoenix and LA among others along with MANY Subway series games in the Bronx. Sure if you talk enough $hit anywhere somebody eventually WILL give you a slap, but in some cities it's FAR more likely than in others!

Philadelphia probably has my least favorite sports fans, and I'm a Bills fan living in New England.
