Yeah i think it will be Philly to win it unless Mahomes pulls something truly special out of his hat...Philly's D is better at rushing the qb, their DB's are much better, running game is also better, KC has a better passing game though thanks to Mahomes and Kelce but their WR's aren't anything great. I think for KC to win they need to get out to at least a 2 td lead early and maintain it so that Philly cannot run the ball and make them one dimensional.

If the Eagles go up by 2 td's i think it's over unless like i said Mahomes does something truly magical
Yup. Early lead for either is key imho.

So you guys are saying that the team who gets up by a lot of points first has a better chance of winning the game?

God damn that is some expert analysis.

When do you all start at ESPN?

This is why the missed call at the Eagles game was so huge. It kept their opening drive alive with position in or near the redzone. Scoring early is huge which is very obvious as you point out. People who downplay the bad call on that incompletion don't get it either.

They won't return my calls.

I believe this game could go all kind of ways . . . low scoring, high scoring, a nailbiter or a blowout by either team.

I'll say this, as an Eagles fan: Mahomes is the one player on any team I would pay to see. Whatever you want to call it, that man has "it."

And if I were a betting man -- l'm not, except for the couple of times I suckered right wing posters on P&N to put their money where their mouth's were. It was like taking candy from a baby. But I digress. -- if I were a betting man, I'd bet on Fat Andy to out-coach Sirianni. That's no knock on Nick, either, just so.

And yet, totally unencumbered by expert analysis, I believe the Birds will win. <shrug>

For me, a lot hinges on whether Hurts gets back in synch with his WRs. That opens up everything. Last game, they won, he competed well, but he was off on the long ball. How much was rust and how much was his shoulder, I don't know.

The Eagles are a good fucking team on both sides of the ball.

High ankle sprains can linger. If Mahome's agility remains hindered, the Birds might get to him. Otoh, look for the Chief's Kelce to have a monster game.

Anyway, I'll be glued to the screen come Sunday. One never know, do one?

That's why they play them.

This kind of reminds me how we (Eagles) won our first SuperBowl. Patriots had Brady, Gronk, 1 good receiver, and a decent defense. Jenkins knocked the receiver out of the game, Gronk was contained for the 1rst half, and we were able to get to half time leading by 10. Gronk's heroics weren't enough in the 2nd half and we got the Brady when we absolutely had to.

It's a similar situation with KC, but our defensive front is better that that team's front 4. I see us getting to Mahomes much more than we did Brady. I like Davonte Smith over Torrey Smith as the 2nd receiver for us, Dallas is giving us what Ertz gave us, our RB's are pretty much the same, and, God Bless St Nick, but Hurts is far better then him and much more mobile so he provides another weapon KC must account for. I can see reasons why we should win, but I am also expecting this to be a nail biter all the way. I hope not. I hope we are able to get out in front early and then just match KC score for score, making it a good/fun game to watch, but NOT giving me a heart attack in the last minute.

There is a HUGE difference between this Eagles team and the one that won the Super Bowl. Like they aren't even really comparable IMO. This team is legit and has steamrolled almost every team they have played when Hurts has played. They basically SHOULD win the Super Bowl.

And as a Commanders fan, I will be rooting 100% against the Eagles so fuck them and I hope Mahomes blows em out and Andy Reid beats his former team in the Super Bowl. As of now, our shitty team is the only team to beat the Eagles all year with Hurts starting. I mean Mahomes HAS to be them right? Fucking Taylor Heinicke beat em!

That game (and the bears game they won shakily and got Hurts hurt) are my only concerns for the Eagles. They crapped the bed with lots of turnovers against bad teams a few times and made easy games look hard.

When they are on the mark, they F'ing destroy teams, and they've done that for most of the year.

KC tho, they have a good record, but I'm not seeing that level of domination. Lots of close games, some losses to bad teams (Colts) or barely scraping past a few (Raiders, Broncos, Texans)

Eagles will be the hitting KC Oline hard and getting after the QB. Mahomes tho, can they get him? He should have so many more sacks against him, but he bails out with his circus throws that often turn into big plays. We'll find out how healed up that ankle is. Doubt we'll see much of a running game from them.

KC also looked vulnerable to mobile Qs. Russell Wilson had a number of big runs on them before he got knocked out on Dec 11. Hurts is a whole other level. Don't think they can defend it all.

Overall I think it's Eagles game to lose. Do their thing, and KC will be chasing. KC will depend on Eagles mistakes and Mahomes magic to bail them out. Game will turn into a rout if Eagles can bring down PM.

I think the big question here is what are you guys making/eating while watching the big game Sunday? I'm gonna throw some tritips on the grill and make sandwiches. Might throw some meatballs in the crockpot as grazing food prior to eating the sandwiches.

A couple decades ago, a bunch of friends(20-30) would get together and bring things from hunting/fishing - bear, deer, salmon as well as salad (potato, macaroni) and beans. Had a couple of kegs to wash it down. This year it'll probably be a TV dinner and glass of milk -though I'm thinking maybe a Calzone or Stromboli. Be watching alone if I watch.

Just saw a comment about that - One team is a juggernaut, the other has Mahomes.

Grilled steak fajitas. Wife will mix cocktails

Sounds like the Giants vs New England, the year the Pats were 18-0 going in, except the Giants didn't even have a Mahomes.

Stop guessing Helmet Catch!

The Giants led the Pats after 3 quarters (28-16 at one point) in the final regular season game with a banged up squad before losing 38-35. The Giants also lost to Dallas twice, N.E. twice (1 pre-season) and the Packers before beating all of them in the playoffs.

REAL 4k broadcast = serious bandwidth even over fiber.

What the cable/streaming companies commonly call "4k" isn't.
