I get being beat by a OL, but a receiver...yeah that's embarassing.eh, he's a pure QB/line rush guy, so that's what he's going to do. if it's a run and it happens to go on the side that he's on, as he's just crashing the backfield like he's supposed to do, then he's disruptive enough to make things happen then, if he doesn't stop it himself. I think that's his only job. He doesn't really have to be utilized so much in run-heavy defensive calls, because his job is just: "rush your lane from whatever position we put you in."
what's great about him is that your opponent knows he's always going to be crashing into some space behind their line, no matter what happens, which just means you know that one half of your offensive line is going to be a bit shit, every play that you call, haha.

I think it was either Engram or Zae Jones with the block. It was that one run Etienne ran to the left.I mean, SEA doesn't have a Gates or fricking Gronk or Gonzalez, sure...but they do have a METCALF. I get you, but when you put up generic position calls like that, but then think about the type of physical players that play those positions very well these days, you recall that ANY All Pro D Lineman is going to get walled by a lot of those real position players in today's NFL.
(sure, it's less Metcalfs and Baldwins and Megatrons than they're used to be, only 5 years ago, but they're still around...and TE has only gotten beefier, I'd say. And a guy like Kittle will just plow through you even if he doesn't have the physical size on you, and he doesn't care)
