The problem is that all franchise QBs not named Kirk Cousins* got their bag from their original team. Purdy will be no different. I get why you're not convinced he deserves $260M, and that's because only a handful of guys are actually elite and play to their contract. Other times, you end up with guys like Kyler Murray, Trevor Lawrence, or even Justin Herbert that are good but not great. Worst case scenario, you're the Browns and get stuck with Deshaun Watson because karma is a biyatch.IMO I don't think we should pay Brock the $260m bag. I just don't think he's that good. I wanted to believe, and maybe even drank the Kool-aid, but a great qb wills his teams to wins, elevates players and makes them better under all conditions. Not saying he sucks or anything like that, he's above serviceable in this league and he's still young so he will get better I believe. But he needs playmakers, and we're about to dump a few next year I would think (Deebo, Mason, Williams, though I can't remember what his recently signed contract is atm).
EDIT: I'm not saying he's the problem either. Our D coughed up 2 division games with leads, and our ST put us in some really bad positions as well this season.

I thought the conversion rate was higher than that, and it might be in recent seasons due to the Tush push.
