I know it will never happen with Lamar and Allen, but I could see an argument being made for Daniels being the MVP of the league as well.
The turn around he has done for this franchise in his rookie year is just something that I don't believe has ever been done before. I mean this team was 4-13 last year. They had never won 11 game since 1991. There are A LOT of different records that he is setting this year for the league and this franchise. If they didn't have Daniels at quarterback, this team probably has like 5 or 6 wins. He is that valuable to this franchise. In the past years we did make it into the playoffs, it was like we backdoored our way in, or got in with a losing record because the division was trash, or had to win like 7 in a row to get in, only to get bounced so quickly in the first round.
He alone has basically reinvigorated this entire fanbase as well. I have been rocking Redskins/Commanders gear the entirety of the Dan Snyder ownership, through all the bad times, had people even ask me why I do it, and it's just because it's my team. Usually by December though I'm not even putting on jerseys for games though since they are out of it. But now when I go out, you see the gear everywhere. When the name changed to Commanders, SO MANY PEOPLE in the area were skeptical about wasting money on new gear because the name sucked. But now that Daniels is there, no one cares about the dumb name. We're winning and are relevant and just fun to watch now. It's like must see football. I mean when the hell has this team been flexxed before?
From all accounts last night too the atmosphere at the game was something that has never been seen in that stadium. It hadn't been seen since they played at RFK. I haven't seen my neighbor yet who has season tickets but I look forward to talking to him about it when I do.
So yah, if you took the term "most valuable player" at face value, which I know that isn't necessarily how the award works, then there is definitely an argument to be made for Daniels as the MVP of the league.
