Fucking Drew Lock has to have his once every leap year good game. What a shit show that team is.

What has it been like to watch the Giants this year?
The imperial register records their names, but we must imagine the horrors. Count Hansteiner of Liechtenstein and Count Friedrich I of Abenberg, wealthy men of noble blood, lying in liquid filth as they were crushed by the weight of falling men. Beringer von Wellingen and the governor Burgrave Friedrich I of Kirchberg, overcome by the foul odors of thousands of pounds of feces. Count Gozmar III of Ziegenhain, all his riches and earthly power suddenly worthless as he choked and drowned in a pool of human shit.

Some 60 lives ended, snuffed out in one sudden and revolting moment: crushed by a mass of bodies, lying in their foul-smelling tomb, their life draining away as their noses and throats fill with excrement. How could Hell be any worse?

Anyway, that's sort of what watching the New York Giants in 2024 was like.

Hopefully Minnesota is getting all of this out of their system tonight. This is a Saints-like level of failure.

The Giants have the third pick, they can get one of the two top QB's or Travis Hunter. But unfortunately, Mara the moron kept Schoen and Daboll as GM and coach. I haven't watched the Giants play in months and looks the same thing will happen next year

The Saints need... everything. Apparently Packers fans hate the head coach now, maybe we can get him.

I was going to root for the Lions until after they played the 9ers and St. Brown said we got spanked (only lost by 6 points, which, if our damn kicker could actually make FGs, we would've won: 2 missed FGs and 1 missed xp). They're young and hungry which is great, but they're not humble. For this reason, I was rooting for the Vikings. Of course, they laid a goose last night, but now I'm rooting for a Vikings vs Bills SB.

It's funny how we react to those sorts of things. People loathe the Saints because of Bountygate, but I'm obviously not that upset by it. I don't like the 49ers because a few of their players seem like raging jackasses, but that St. Brown comment doesn't even show up on my radar. Joy of sports.

As long as the Rams lose, I'm good.

As a Lions fan of over 35 years this feels weird

https://rbsdm.com/stats/fourth_downs/

MCDC has faced 17 4th downs where going for it would have increased the Lions' average win probability by 1.5% or more. He went for it and converted 8 of those times, went for it and didn't convert 4 times, and kicked 5 times:

  • Week 1 vs LAR, down 3, 4:17 left in 4Q, punted from own 35 on 4th & 5 (going for it was +4.5% WP)
  • Week 10 @HOU, down 10, 0:31 left in 3Q, punted from own 49 on 4th & 5 (+4.0% WP)
  • Week 2 vs TB, down 4, 13:01 left in 4Q, punted from TB 41 on 4th & 7 (+3.9% WP)
  • Week 2 vs TB, down 7, 5:09 left in 2Q, punted from TB 48 on 4th & 6 (+3.3% WP)
  • Week 1 vs LAR, up 7, 1:42 left in 3Q, punted from own 39 on 4th & 1 (+2.2% WP)
Sounds like Montgomery will be back for their next game

The rest of the league loathed the Saints because it was basically intentional destruction of another business's assets. Which probably led to the ridiculous PI call that denied them a playoff run. One can play dirty to get one, but then the other oligarchs can then conspire so the Sean Payton would get no more afterwards.

Could be. They also wanted the Rams to win so very badly. The owner pulled a "Major League" on Saint Louis, tanking and being (allegedly) dirty to get the team moved. Had to pay a huge settlement to the city. They're probably all shady, and I doubt the Saints are the only ones doing what they did, but I truly loathe the Rams ownership.

As a Vikings fan I'll never ever root for the Saints again, and screw that "destiny" bullshit. Also as a Vikings fan I am so used to disappointment that it is our Superbowl if they beat the Packers in a playoff game. I'm feeling good about Detroit, they want it so badly too.

I too hate the Saints since Bountygate and I also root against Sean Payton - fuck that guy.

I picked the Lions in the poll to go all the way and I hope they do. But there are a few teams that would be cool to win, such as Minn for example - just not the Iggles or Denver

Lamar is just a maniac and I kinda want him to get a ring sometime, but not at the expense of the Lions though.
