As a Giants fan I'm hoping for the same damn thing! As a Commanders fan, I really REALLY hope Jerry hires him to be the coach lol.

Well it's going to cost him big time. A QB can't stand there scanning the field for 5 seconds making a decision. He will lose millions because he couldn't perform under pressure and the coach couldn't plan around that.Too bad for Sam darnold. He basically got in his head in the last two games that were the most important of the year and the ones with the biggest things on the line. He got in his head and psyched himself out. He got the yips.
Yes and no. He's still going to get paid pretty good money.I concur. Those last 2 games cost him dearly.

2017 is completely irrelevant. Is anyone on that roster still around???Vikings definitely sucking.
Rams have a lot of momentum.
Rams and Eagles have a lot of veteran leadership from their recent SB wins/appearances. The Eagles leadership from 2017 is aging, but they did make it to the SB in 2022.
Eagles have the defensive horses to win. Injury to Nikobe Dean is a major loss for the Eagles.
It's looking to be a great game if that's what is in the cards.
Sportrac lists the dead cap hit in 2025 to be $151M.please be true, this would be funny af

Almost as bad, the cap figure is $90M. So they have to restructure his contract and push the pain out another year or so.
Ahh the dead cap hit is a measly $104M if they trade him; but what team is dumb enough to absorb his contract LOL.
Yeah, it was hard to watch. Zero energy. It looked like the Vikings gave up before halftime. Not just Darnold, but team and coach.
Even if the Vikes move on to the JJ McCarthy plan, other teams are interested in Darnold. And since the NFL is often a copycat league, Darnold benefits from the rejuvenated careers of Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield.even a middle of the pack QB makes over 30 million a year and i think he (Darnold) should easily get a contract of that size
Yea I think Sam would do fine on another team after the year he's had. His last 2 games didn't do him any favors in the confidence department but he should be able to shrug it off by next season and continue to play well if he's placed in a similar system. At minimum a solid backup. I'm not too familiar with the QBs coming out of the draft this year, but if a team could hold off, fill other needs and snag him for a year or two he'd be serviceable.Even if the Vikes move on to the JJ McCarthy plan, other teams are interested in Darnold.
