I have been to football/baseball/hockey games in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Cleveland, and Philly fans really are the worst.

So I've seen a lot of anger about the Chiefs, people saying they cheated, the NFL wants them to win, etc, but I've never heard anyone say *why*. Why the Chiefs? KC isn't that big of a market. Is it that Mahomes and Kelce are popular now? Do the powers that be love State Farm?

I have no idea if anything bad is actually going on, but this just reads more like people are tired of them being good than an actual conspiracy. I feel like a Bills win would have been a lot better for the NFL.

You're taking this way too seriously. There are bad fans everywhere and soccer hooligans are arguably even worse in Europe. Dodger Stadium is now known as the fan fighting capital of U.S. sports venues, and there isn't a close second. The Bryan Stow incident in the parking lot was horrific.

I don't even remember this 2013 murder in SF, which happened outside the ballpark:

There are bad apples in any large fanbase, but Philly phan holds a pretty large barrel.

As for the Super Bowl itself, ESPN's computer model has the Eagles as a slight favorite! I don't have much of a rooting interest here, but if I knew that the Eagles would decline Trump's invitation to the WH, I would certainly root for them. I believe the Chiefs would accept an invitation if they three-peat. In 2018:

You got other fanbases trying to kill someone by throwing them over a bridge, like Chiefs fan at a LA Chargers game at SoFi stadium in 2022. Or the Patriots fan that actually died after getting punched during a Patriots Dolphins game.

Or the Commanders fan and Ravens fan fighting in the stands which I believe was last year with a woman in a Ravens jersey getting shoved to the floor in the same incident by a Commanders fan, or the fight between Commanders fans and Arizona fans last year. Or the Commanders fan that sucker punched a Cowboys fan after a back and forth argument, when the Cowboys fan wasn't even looking. And yeah, all of those were found on a simple search and many of those incidences are on Youtube.

Plenty of Cowboys fans fighting other fans, and each other, online. And yes, Philly and Washington fans brawling, and Giants and Washington fans brawling too.

Those are just some of the easy to find ones, and I'm sure there are plenty more examples, such as the Washington players punching each other during a Washington/Dallas game 3 years ago.

Look. Not saying Eagles fans are the greatest, and there's plenty of bad behavior by Philadelphia sports fans on record. But let's not pretend bad fan behavior doesn't happen everywhere. I do not accept such behavior, and think it is abhorrent, but I'm tired of the perception that Philly fans are the only ones that misbehave. It always seems anything that fans in Philadelphia does is amplified. Anything that other fanbases do, is swept under the rug like it never happened. There are rude and obnoxious fans everywhere.

I've also seen plenty of good behavior towards other fanbases at Philadelphia sports games. Again, just like everywhere else, there is only a very minor percentage of fans that misbehave. The overwhelming majority of Philly fans do not misbehave.

But everyone ignores bad behavior by other fanbases because somehow, it's an easy target to say Eagles fan that are the worst.

All of these one off's are just that - one off's.

These kind of things happen REGULARLY at Eagles games. Not people dying and stuff but just the awful behavior and treatment of opposing fans.

I'm literally listening to people talking about it right now on sports radio. People are calling in that were at the Eagles games telling their stories from last weekend and they all fit the same narrative/theme that Philly fans are the worst. If you want to hear it yourself, listen to 1067 The Fan on the audacy app. The one dude is saying as soon as they got off the bus, it was just constant F-U bombs being dropped and they weren't even doing anything. Just literally getting off the bus.

Philly fans are fucking assholes, for sure. Not all, but in general. Its part of the reason why I don't want them beating KC. But i don't care for KC much either. Will watch the game of course but I decided not to throw a party this year because of the predictably dull matchup.

Do yourself a favor and separate politics from the sport. It won't drive you as crazy. A lot of those players are religious nuts or have some backwards-ass values.

My point is KC has the two best coaches in the league (Andy and Spags), and there isn't any denying it. Should we have gotten a first down when we were a yard short? No. Should Josh Allen have gotten the first down on the third sneak? Maybe. But he didn't. That's part of the game; refs are gonna be idiots. That's why I hate Carl Cheffers... ask any KC fan. He's practically persona non grata here.

As for flopping, everyone has their princess moments. FFS, Josh Allen practically throws himself backward when he's touched but he's so likeable so he gets a pass.

I do wish Taylor Swift would go away though. It doesn't help the narrative that the script writers are giving us the reach-around.

Were there even any roughing the passer penalties in the AFCCG? I don't remember seeing any. Though anecdotal, I can appreciate some stats-based evidence like that. That's unfortunate if true. I think we've become the new Patriots and I now know why I hated them so much.
