And right before the third one he missed, they commented on the last time he missed from that distance, and I think it was in a previous playoff game against the Jets. And then he missed.

Can't blame him for missing the 57 yard attempt.

Kaeding is like the tony romo instead he's a kicker. The chargers are in deep shit next season, they have 11 unrestricted free agents next season.

Croamatier did not even attempt to tackle shone greene when he broke the long 50 yrds TD run. Most likely, LT is gone, so i merriman, V Jack, floyd, sproles, and whole bunch of other players are FA next season.

Excellent news to hear! I'd like the Colts to grab Sproles if possible. I wish we could unload Bob Sanders without too much of a hit on our cap.

I mean, going for a TD on 4th down with like 2 minutes left? That's pretty damned lame.

I've seen the Vikes piss away many leads before, so the more points the better! I like how Aikman put it....if you don't like it, do something to stop it.

Hopefully they will bring their same D to the Saints next week. They've had very similar seasons putting up insane numbers then losing to terrible teams, so hopefully they are both on the same page next Sunday and put on a show.

Brett Favre was just trying to maintain a stance of dominance. Brooking could have helped stop the TD instead of bitch about it

The whole reason the Vikings passed on 4th down was because the Cowboys would have been expecting a short run just to get the 1st and then kneel on it to end the game. They figured everyone would be watching for the run so they were easily able to complete that pass.

From ESPN, hilarious..."Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams, meanwhile, said Brooking was lucky to escape the Minnesota sideline in one piece."

Big D gets a Big Asskicking and throws a temper tantrum. Didn't they run up the score against the Eagles? They didn't feel too bad about doing that a week ago. With all the smack talk and the way all the news organizations bowed down before the Cowgirls in the past few weeks, I say they deserved it.

listening to 105.3 in Dallas just now

caller was whining about favre passing when it the game was already over and how favre or rice might get injured. radio host brings up example of romo rolling out on a bootleg against the eagles when the score was 24-0 and starters were still in two weeks ago. caller says that isn't the same thing...

That would be sweet. Or LT.

There was talk of doing away with the salary cap so it's possible. As much as I don't like the chargers because they knocked out the colts last few years, they do have some quality names on their roster.

Their secondary is VERY impressive and agile.

It's different when people are going for it on 4th down with 2 minutes left

You think Chargers have that bad? I think the Patriots are looking at 15.

I laugh at the people (especially the Cowboys whining) about Vikings scoring the last TD. You get paid millions of dollars to play the game so play for the whole 60 minutes. If you want to play half a game, then refund the fans 1/2 their ticket price.
More importantly, this isn't peewee football. IF you don't like someone scoring on you, then stop them from doing it, or go home. This is the playoffs. If you want to know more about the playoffs, just talk to Jim Mora about it...or don't.

Surprised the Jets won, maybe too much time off for SD? When was the last time they played a real game? I can't remember if they rested their starters or not. The Jets just looked like they wanted it more.

I'm think Bob Sanders will be cut or have is deal majorly reworked if there's no cap.

I expect lots of teams if there's no cap to cut players with bloated accelerate cap hits and walk away.

It would also be smart to front load deals on players too to lessen cap hits when the cap is back again.

I'm thinking dan synder, paul allen and jerry Jones to game the system to buy up players

Yeah, no labor agreement has been reached and if it isn't reached by a certain date (don't recall the deadline), one year (next year?) might not have a salary cap. It might be a good time to pay our stars and get rid of dead weight like Bob Sanders.

That is what I am thinking too. Bob Sanders is a hell of a player, but he has missed something like 60% of the games he has been eligible to play. Melvin Bullitt has shown he is the real deal and at this point, I'd like the Colts to prepare themselves for the future (when a cap is back), get rid of players like Sanders and maybe Ugoh, and draft or sign via FA some new offensive linemen.

I think LT is probably on the decline at this stage and with our run blocking (or lack thereof), probably wouldn't be a good fit. Sproles, with his speed and agility, would probably work better especially with some of the outside runs.

Heck, if we could sign him cheap enough, I wouldn't mind giving Merriman a look, even though I generally think he is a douchebag. Also I think someone mention Cromartie might be a FA, and he might be worth a look if they are going to ditch Jackson given Hayden is a little injury prone. Jerraud Powers and Jacob Lacey are damn good rookie CBs, though.

I've been a Chargers fan since I was living there back in the 'Ought-60's'.

Norv Turner is NOT good coach, he doesn't know how to prepare and motivate a team.
Like Shottenheimer before him, he doesn't want to do anything that might be frowned
on by the Charger's management & ownership, so he abandons what got them there,
and goes lock-down conservative play calling.
Maybe he plans to bore the other team to death, or more likely they look past the team
that the are going to play next,
and plan for the game after that one . . and consequently don't get there from here.

Until the Chargers dump the Norv, they are at their highest level of incontinence.

With all the players that are ready to be free agents, this was the last chance Norv
had to make it gel . . . bad coaching,
poor and predictable play calling, and a pompous self important QB.

Where is Ryan Leaf when you need him?

Hey, Norv - how's football been treating you ?
Oh, not bad, can't kick!

wow, go sanchez, of all the SC QB's in the NFL I would have never thought Mark would be the one having so much success.
He isn't doing much, it's the defense and while it works on the Chargers it won't work on Manning.

I once was a Saints fan, years ago, but I've long since give up on them. I'm almost starting to believe in them this time. If they disappoint me again......

Hey, they got this far, which is pretty damn awesome if you ask me. Far better than the incompetence (not incontinence, lol) and bad luck/lack of teamwork that plagued them for so many years.

Even if they get blown out next game, they still deserve respect for getting so far. There are a LOT of really decent teams in the NFL right now, and for the most part 'Any Given Sunday' may surprise pretty much anyone.
