The cowboys pick was weird... Not really sure what the point was trading up for him, not a real "need" for him right now like there is at OL and safety. Must be trading Carpenter.

I'm pretty sure Eagles fans just had a meltdown. They trade down multiple times from 55 to 86 and then take a 6th round projected DE (after taking a DE in the 1st round). WTF?

Heisman runner up goes 51st, when's the last time that happened? - Toby Gerhart was a great college player, but it's true white running backs don't seem to make it in the NFL anymore.

Lol what were the Eagles doing?? The Andy Reid interview after taking "TO" was hilarious.

I initially didn't care for the Mays pick.. thought they should have traded down some and taken Burnett. However, after reading a couple articles on how Carroll played him out of position and didn't coach him properly, I've warmed up more to the idea of him as a 49er. He's a physical beast to say the least.

That guy is ripped. Dk about his speed but when he hits a wide receiver, they definitely know it

That's the problem, he doesn't always even make the hit. Half the time he doesn't even put himself in a position to be able to. In college he was able to compensate for it due to his speed, but he won't be able to as much in the NFL. Also he seems to have a very straightline speed, so if he takes the wrong line it will actually be detrimental and could take him out of the play.

Don't get me wrong, he's a stud and I think he could turn out to be great with some good coaching. I actually was kinda hoping that the Chiefs might take him as well (Berry and Mays would make a hell of a safety tandem I'd say, and with Emmitt Thomas as d-backs coach, I think they could develop Mays well), although after dealing with Pollard who plays like Mays does, I'm not overly impressed with safeties like that, as they whiff a lot, and plenty of running backs and receivers will use their momentum against them, making them miss the tackle. They're the type of guys that will end up taking one or two of their own out of the play as well when they miss.

Its good he seems angry at Carroll and landed in a division rival, so he'll have some extra motivation to live up to his potential.

He was a SS who was put at FS but was coached to play as a SS.
