are you crazy? sanchez is developing and was able to take them to the afc championship.
they have the best o-line in the league. shonn green is young and incredibly talented. and sanchez has edwards, cotchery, holmes, and keller to throw to.

if sanchez makes huge strides this season the jets are going to be scary.

if sanchez hits the sophomore slump like matt ryan of the falcons, than their pass offense is down the drain.

Not a bad pick for the Lions. I hope Best stays healthy.

Was hoping for a lb, what did they give up to the Vikings for the pick?

/2nd round pick swap of 4th round pick and a 7th round pick

LT is over the hill, thanks for the great memories in SD. Santonio got suspended for 4 games; and sanchez will be in a nice sophomore hump like matt ryan of the falcons.

But the jets secondaries are very very good though.

sanchez already had his slump year in his rookie season. and they still made it to the playoffs. with a little help from the bengals and colts of course. and they are a running team anyway.

I think they said a 4th rounder and another later pick to move up.

For some reason earlier today I was hoping Brees would be there to make the Saints 1st round pick.

could be the vikes and bucs, since they have the 2nd and 3rd round tomorrow.

I thought the Bucs took a QB in the first round last year?

Edit:

I looked it up, they took Josh Freeman at #17 in the first round. Also, Tebow went on the first day of the draft (which I would have considered rounds 1-3 since the NFL just changed their format) which was debated last year in a separate thread.

Wow... Tebow. ESPN is giving an 'F' to that pick. lol...

Because Denver already has two QBs, there was no need for him to be drafted there. ESPN kept saying that the Bills were going to draft him in the second round at #41 for sure.

I like how nfl.com has their results setup.

Same thing could be said about Dallas, they where not hurting for WR's but they still went out and grabbed probably the best one available in the draft. I'd think they have more pressing issues than WR but i guess he was to good not to draft...bye bye R WIlliams...

Yeah, you can count the Bucs out of the Clausen/McCoy derby unless they could get one remarkably cheap, as I think they are happy with Freeman for now.

I'd agree the Vikes are a possibility for one of them as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Browns take one if they have the chance either. I mean seriously, are they going to rely on Delhomme and Seneca Wallace? Sooner or later they are going to need to pick one and if they can get Clausen or McCoy cheap, why not give it a shot?

I'm psyched to see the Pats continue to try to address their secondary problems. Devin McCourty apparently may be a well-kept secret. Apparently taking him at 27th worked out in our favor since Belichick would have taken him even at 22nd. Next up, three 2nd round picks

Took the words out of my mouth, their success will hinge on Sanchez holding steady and keeping up the trend he started toward the second half of last season.

No doubt, the Jets are set up to be contenders for years. They have an incredibly stacked roster on both sides of the ball. Sanchez had his problems last year, but I think he'll shape up to be a decent QB if they can keep him healthy.

They could have drafted him with one of their 2nd round picks. He's basically another Darius Butler. They have bigger needs at OLB, DE, TE and WR.

2 main problems with the Jets D last year was sacking the QB (lot of pressure but not as many takedowns) and when constantly faced with 4 wideout sets (thing indy in the playoffs) their difference between top CBs and backups was really evident. If this kid pans out, along with picking up Cromartie, they could be something real ugly.

And even if edwards still drops a couple, with him on one side and santonio on the others, unless sanchez fails to show any progress it's going to be extremely difficult to try and just stuff the box playing the run.

They've always had needs as WR but it's always worked one way or the other. You could say that need has always been there, but I wouldn't call it a bigger need than to stop the bleeding of the weak secondary. I disagree with TE, that position hasn't been an integral part of their offense for years. In fact I was glad to see they weren't extending themselves to replace Baker / Watson, neither of which were all that important.

OLB and DE? definitely agreed.

I like the pick. Not as much as I would have liked a pass rusher like Hughes, but I'm alright with them taking McCourty. Our secondary had a tendency to give up the big play last season and they're no doubt hoping that McCourty can be the shutdown CB in the NFL that he was in college.
