LOL, what is this--7th grade? Cowboys did better with Romo, so he got some credit. Maybe too much credit, but you are talking about the sports media, who has to earn a living by making "news" that will hook people. Looks like it's working

to most people, he did better than just ok in most of those games. he was better than bledsoe, and got the cowboys to the playoffs. if it weren't for that botched hold they would have gone even deeper. as far as the pro bowl thing, who else from the NFC deserved to go?

let's go through the qbs...
leinart - no where near pro bowl numbers
vick - too many dropped passes and fumbles
delhome - one of his worst years yet
grossman - lol, nuff said
kitna - did ok, not pro bowl numbers
favre - too many interceptions, not enough wins
brad johnson/tavaris jackson - um, yeah both bad
eli manning - much worse than romo
mcnabb - would have taken the 3rd qb spot if not for injury
alex smith - much better than rookie year, but still not great
hasslebeck - could maybe be argued, but didn't have nearly as good a year as 05
tampa bay qbs - um right
jason campbell - not even close

of all the nfc qbs, the only one you could "maybe" argue is hasslebeck. i'm no romo or cowboys fan, but to say he wasn't deserving of the pro bowl after the numbers he put up is silly.

Injured.

only missed a few games though, yes? if he had played those games, his stats still weren't great by any means.

*edit* romo only played 1 more game than hasslebeck

It was a second degree MCL sprain, causing Hasselbeck to miss four games. Upon returning he subsequently broke most of his fingers on his non-throwing hand, and a rib, but continued to lead his team to the Divisional Round of the postseason..

Meh Hasslebeck isn't really that good anyway.

Stillers > Hawks

Shittsburg has nothing on the seahawks, last season or this. The only good thing your team had left last season.

Shittsburgh, boy you are a clever one... how about writing a sentence that, you know, makes some sense?

The Hawks are on the decline, my friend. Hasselbeck is garbage, and SA is on the wrong side of 30.

BTW, the Steelers aren't even my team, but I find the whining of Seahawks fans quite amusing.

Thats impressive stuff you are pulling out of your butt, care to back any of it up with "real" data?

Seattle was a better team than "pittsburgh" last year, end of story no debate.
I would love for you to show me who is saying (besides you, clearly you are an idiot who likes to make up stories with no proof) that "pittsburgh" is a better team going into this season. I will provide one link, because I am tired of wasting time on ignorant fools. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6897650

cliffs = shittsburgh is a mediocre team at best this season.

Hey Einstein... I was talking about this sentence:

"The only good thing your team had left last season."

What is the "only good thing" you're talking about? What well written prose, my friend.

BTW, what story am I making up? You mean the trash talk? I'm not even a Steelers fan dumbass. This is why I love Seahawks fans, they're so easy to get riled up to the point where they are frothing at the mouth

Enjoy that anti-Steelers complex you'll have until the Seahawks finally manage to win a championship, which won't be anytime soon

BTW, nice "proof" you have there - someone elses opinion

if they did not get rid of him teh 3 years befoer when he continued to get hurt and miss the season there is no way they are going ot get rid of him for having a mixed year. At least he was healthy all year! thats a improvment!

He had nowhere to go but up.

He still had 5 games under 10 QB rating, 2 of them were 0s... one game robbie gould had more passing yards...

Lets not forget we almost lost to the friggin cardinals because of Hex Gross Man

Don't forget the left shoulder injury he played with for the last couple of yrs, I believe.
Also, if that first drive in the last preseason game is a precursor of things to come this year, we Hawks fans have a lot to be happy about

I loved him during the playoffs against Seattle.

Being a Dallas fan, he's everything we've needed and haven't had since Aikman. Gone are the days of sitting in the pocket knowing you have the best RB, WR duo, tight end, and OL in the business. He's capable of making things happen. We expect nothing but good things from him. We're not expecting him to be Brady or Manning, but he's a solid QB who can go nowhere but up right now with experience.

Yes there is something worst.

Hearing ESPN, FSN and every freaking sports show ride Brett Favre's jock strap.

John Madden is the worst one of them all.

The media plays Favre out like he's some god. Boo hoo my daddy died and look at me. Or my childhood home got swepted away. My wife got breast cancer. I'm sure there are other players in teh league who's parents died, cancer in the family or had their home destroyed in Katrina. I'm sure a few of the saints players lost their homes. You don't see a big deal made of that. But with Favre its made out to be like he just some how willed himself through those times and that no one else goes through such things but Brett.

He's well over the hill. Makes horrible decisions now. But because he's favre they play out that since the pass was completed its exactly how it was planned. While if it was soemone else he'd be benched on the spot. Green Bay should've just cut him last year when he couldn't decide to stay or not and Go with Rodgers. Rodgers just ends up being a totally wasted 1st round draft pick. I know someone will say he's not that good. Neither was favre when he started out. Rodgers isn't gonna get any better playing with the 2nd team. The organization has no clue on who their future QB is. If its not rodgers they can just cut ties with him and find someone else.

I know what you mean. I love Madden and all, but I got sick of his Favre love in the nineties.
For example, the packers had the ball within 10 yards of the goal. Favre makes a very average pass to Flipper Anderson. I mean really average. If he through it within 5 feet of Anderson, it was an easy touch down. Flipper had the defenses' number on this play, and he was two steps ahead of the nearest opponent.
No, dancing in out of the pocket, the offensive lineman stomped a blitz easily.
Madden wouldn't shut up on how great Favre was on that throw. He went on for like 90 seconds.

We have to love not being at the top of the list of teams this year (right around the 9th in power rankings depending where you look), we play much better this way. Look at the teams that gave us trouble last year..... We have high hopes this year. Any ATOTers going to most/all seahawk games this year? Id love to meet up at the Elysian for some IPAs before the games .

Er, a lot of these writers make some pretty lousy predictions... but if it makes you feel good, more power to you

My team is ranked higher than I'd put them in that list as well, so I'm not bashing that list just because the Seacocks are rated so highly on there...
