Everytime Chicago comes on primetime, you can expect the following:
Shit QB play.
WRs who will be forgotten the next day.
Good D play.
Wow Special Teams.
Although the D might suck tonight just as much as the O.
It's been one game. I'm not ready to crown Stafford as the next Kurt Warner. The Matt Stafford thing is weird.
It's like, think about the St Louis Rams in 99, when they brought in this aged rookie named Kurt Warner with a decade+ of experience playing Canadian Football, and instantly becoming a serious HOFer, with a great offensive system and NFL veterans and sterling rookies (The Great Torry Holt, of course).
Anyway, that's exactly what Stafford is right now with the ~same Rams team and mindset except that instead of hanging out in the CFL for a decade+, Stafford has been playing for the Lions, which, a few steps above the CFL, is "basically the NFL."
Could be a fun year for them.

Tonight's game is on ESPN as usual, but on ESPN2 it will be the same game just commentated by the Manning brothers fyi
I focus on the materials and the construction thereof. Stafford has it all. He'll roast all doubter's hearts. He'll need to actually QB at least ONE winning team in the NFL prior to being crowned anything by me lol .... I do however think Stafford + the Rams line-play and overall defense is a promising combination.

LA's got to prove LA football is relevant to locals. Not many Americans locales can sustain a hockey team longer than a football team. Its possible ... I'd enjoy seeing it!
Would have enjoyed it MORE had he transformed the Lions into a consistantly good team but we all know that will never happen.
(I don't like the Rams or any LA team much but I do like Stafford)
The Baltimore Ravens story: how a fucking shithole city got two Super Bowls and an interesting running attack.are you ready for some football?
it's a monday night party

Financially, they have a 2-3 year plan as you said. He now has a modest cap hit, but is expected to play well and earn a big extension. He had a fine debut, but Rams fans shouldn't extrapolate that to meaning they are Super Bowl bound. They're a real threat to the Bucs, but there are 16 games left to set up the playoffs.Let's give that context: I posted that as the game was starting. It is mere prediction, and not a reaction to that game finish. LoL, I actually only watched the first 5 minutes or so, then saw the score today...uh, maybe 2 hours ago. That is it, haha.
Therefore, had Stafford tossed 3 INTs with 1TD, FL, LAR win by 2TD, plus....this response post of yours to what would have been my boneheaded analysis of a scrub doing scrubby stuff, would have been entirely different...would you not agree?
Now you see who is stupidly brilliant.
...anyway, the thrust of my thinking up there is more that LAR have a staff that are serious about doing those kind of things very quickly--McVeigh is definitely legit, I think. We already kinda know that, and I think most agree that Goff, with his one dimension, was never really going to fit there.
I think they really saw Stafford, after he basically quit (or quit because he knew this situation was going to be real for him) as that sort of golden entrance into super solid Rams organization that wants to put all those pieces together. People forget that they really haven't sucked in...uh, nearly 8 years now. And they've actually been really, really, really quite good for the last 3.
I think they have a 2-3 year plan for him, and if somehow there is life after that with the guy, it's all butter.
Not really, they led the defending AFC champs for most of the game until hill broke free in the 4th Qtr, the old Browns would have been out of this game by halftime, these guys didn't quit at all.browns... same as it ever was
Browns definitely looked legit. Not really, they led the defending AFC champs for most of the game until hill broke free in the 4th Qtr, the old Browns would have been out of this game by halftime, these guys didn't quit at all.
Last night's game the Raiders made everyone attending be vaccinated, (hell of a game too!). 1,800 refused to comply and got refunds or tickets to another game. I just remain so baffled by this, I mean vaccines have been around for over 100 years and they work so it was not some new, experiential treatment people are being asked to take. Once upoon a time in this country people used to jump at the chance to help a noble cause like this, it's sad and dumb really.Bills to require fans at games to be vaccinated
A new policy will require fans at Bills home games to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The same policy will apply to home Sabres games as the two franchises are owned by the same group.www.espn.com
More teams should do this.
